CNAs are overworked and underpaid! There’s always a staffing problem so you end up overloaded with Residents and end up running back and forth the entire shift. And because of that sometimes it’s hard to take your break or even stop to use the bathroom (even though they “try to enforce” taking your breaks but how are you supposed to when you have so many Residents to tend to?), and when you aren’t able to take your breaks it’s a hassle to get them to pay you for the break. Some nurses are helpful and will step in when we are under staffed but majority are not helpful and only bark orders and expect tasks to be done right away, sometimes won’t even go to respond to call bell when CNAs are preoccupied and would instead wait until they see you in the hall ways to point out ringing call light. The Managemnt team is not the best especially the HR rep, I did not feel as of anyone had my interest at heart. However, I had no issues with the individuals responsible for payroll and scheduling. The best part about the job was some of the very helpful and willing coworkers and some of the Residents as well as gaining the experience. I enjoyed being able to help the Residents and feeling like I made a positive impact on their day.

Loved working here. Coworkers are amazing. Management is helpful. Pay and benefits are excellent. Job is hard, and your on your feet all day, but it is worth it.

When I worked there in the late 1980's to early 1990's it was a good and caring environment, the residents were well taken care of and the nuns took care of the needs of patients making sure that they had proper clothing and personal items especially for those that didn't have much and no family members visiting. The recreational activities were good for those that can take part, example music, the chapel and their spiritual needs were met.

The pay is low compared to other places and a lot of cut backs are taking place now because of the pandemic..It used to be a good decent place to work at but not anymore

Though my time there as a SW was a bit short and complicated especially because of COVID-19, but I do cherish every moment spent at the facility and I’m certainly grateful for the supervision I’ve received there. The social work team is amazing! The director knows her stuff and is very supportive and reliable. She takes her time to teach you not just for the moment but for life. She does have high expectations but walks with you every step of the way and will ensure you surpass her expectations and reach your highest potential. The secretary is on point! She does make everyone’s job easier, I really appreciate her. The Social workers are very reliable, very supportive to one another. They all have skills that they contribute to the department that makes the whole department successful. I have nothing but good things to say about the social work team! I definitely miss them and as I get ready to embark new journeys, I personally thank the whole team for their contributions to my grow which I will definitely cherish throughout my career! I do appreciate the administrative staff (especially the CEO and the head of administration) for their support, especially academically. They made a promise during my interview and they kept it! I do appreciate their integrity and mission!
