Railroad spotter (Current Employee) –  Elwood, ILJanuary 17, 2019
50% of employees quit within 6 months because of management. If you aren't part of managements favorites, you will be bullied. Health care is excellent but reflects in your hourly wages.

Healthcare

Could be a good job if this company would let go of the dead weight, but sooner pushes good workers out the door
Power mechanic / Diesel mechanic (Current Employee) –  Harrisburg, PADecember 29, 2018
Wouldn’t recommend, to much wrong to list.
Terminal managers don’t care very much. Very little training in all fields. Company sooner pushes good hard working employees out the door and keeps the dead weight. Mainly looking for bodies not workers!
Although the powershops manager Tom is a great guy and is always willing to help his workers. Tom will do the most but sooner gets held back by the guys above him.
This job will take you back to what high school was, little clicks and grown men that complain about others performance while neglecting their own work.
Pros
Powershop manager (Tom) best thing company has. 5 stars for Tom
Cons
Take your pick

Productive but very cut throat
Hostler Driver (Former Employee) –  Haslet, TXAugust 10, 2018
They will fire you on the spot it’s a buddy buddy system so advancement is based on your buddies. Some of the ramp managers are alright but as I said very cut throat and buddy buddy. Some can miss days on days and keep their jobs others get cut quick.

Hostler Driver (Former Employee) –  Haslet, TXJune 8, 2018
The management is terrible. They preach safety from the top but usually only after an accident or injury. Outside of the office it is get it done, take shortcuts. A lot of employees work at risk of being injured.
Pros
it is a job

no advancement, very dangerous, many injuries and accidents

The practice you get learning to back up different size trailers is worth the issues they have.

GET YOUR REST, CAN'T STRESS THIS ENOUGH.
12 hour shift, you working 98% of your weekends, six day week are very coming. Be on time, you working outside so when it's hot it's very hot and when it's cold it's very cold. Get a rain suit, jacket and pants.

It could be stressful when you don't have the equipment you need to fully function but on a normal day it's fast paced, fun. Manager was everything he could do it all & taught all. It was like working with family no matter the race

Lead Man (Former Employee) –  PennsylvaniaMay 7, 2018
I'ts a paycheck.
Management at the location was very weak and did not focus at all on the workplace safety policy's and procedures.
There were constant payroll issues with employees getting shorted pay.
Pros
