Major changes due to C-Suite Level changes
Sr. Director (Current Employee) –  Santa Clara, CAOctober 3, 2018
Change in leadership that is changing the culture. Good people are feeling inadequate and the critical nature of the executives is putting everyone on the defensive.

Great Technology, Good Culture, OK place to Grow
Field Account Manager - SLED (Former Employee) –  Plano, TXSeptember 14, 2018
Typical day is fast paced, everyone seems to love Palo until the Price conversation. so to be successful you have to get total buy in to the Technology and what it solves for. Then crafting a win win sales proposal. More often than not Palo wins.
The challenge will be the Software sales change the Company is making currently.

Leading Company in Security Industry
Senior Program Manager/IT Business Advisor (Current Employee) –  San Jose, CAJuly 25, 2018
While a leading company in the Security space, Palo Alto Networks is struggling to mature. They hold on dogmatically to their startup roots but fail to realize they must evolve at 4500 employees. Much of the leadership throughout the company is not mature enough to lead their people through their growth. Too many of these leaders are ego-centric and only focused on their own agenda.

While working for the company is mostly positive in the short term, the lack of maturation progress will weigh on people 12-18 months in.

Sales Operations Renewal Rep (Former Employee) –  Plano, TXJune 26, 2018
Worked together as a team, they made it easy to work. I enjoyed the lunch and learns, team building. Everyone pretty much kept to themselves and worked at their own pace. The hardest part of the job, was not knowing if you were doing a good job. The easiest part of the job were the people.

Happy Hours

Principal Professional Services Engineer (Current Employee) –  San Jose, CAMay 1, 2018
Upper level management (VP and above) is quite good and involved. Director and lower level management needs improvement. The company is continuing to change a lot. Many coat tails are being used to bring in new employees.

There is no typical day at work here.

Every single day here is super challenging .

if you looking for a place sit down to relax, learn and code. This place is not for you.

Project enhancement growing like racing , you may lucky to find time in your day to check your phone.

Other than that, everything is good. You are willing to learn + work, you will become a very BIG person when you come out of the company.
Pros
free snack, drink, coffee ...
Cons

Great company, I still miss it, but I was not able to travel as much as needed, 75% of the time.
All the resources needed are available to you, all the training you need, excellent benefits, again if you like to travel this is the place to be.

The Company has many added benefits, team outings, various types of tournaments, performance acknowledgement ceremonies.
In Technical Support work time is work time. They expect participation and production, which the company deserves. The pace is fast and there is always work to be done. Palo Alto Networks was a great company to work for.
