Productive
Accounting Assistant/Staff Accountant (Former Employee) –  Secaucus, NJAugust 17, 2018
A productive working place. This company open my eyes to the accounting and business world. From an accountant 1 to an associate accountant I learned the very basic accounting of bank reconciliation to account analysis. I enjoyed my time of growing at Panasonic.
Pros
Company parties were fun

Miserable
Personal (Former Employee) –  Sparks, NVAugust 10, 2018
Management is not experienced causing the morale of the employees to be very low. Japanese running it one way the Americans running it another! They say it’s a start up company.... 100 year old company you’d think it would be more organized.

PESSNY - not good for everyone
Machine Operator (Current Employee) –  Buffalo, NYAugust 9, 2018
This place is good for them who's friends or relatives are in higher position. The production floor is divided in two groups: Low pay- for colored people, Moderate and good pay- White and non colored. Employee turn over rate is higher than 45%. If you are colored person then this place is not a perfect for you- No future. You will be in same position after 10 years, where you are today. Promotion and other benefits are goes by race.
Pros
Think twice before you get here
Cons
Bad and non-experienced Managemant people

Japanese Culture in Working Place
IT Coordinator (Former Employee) –  NJAugust 6, 2018
First of all, It was Panasonic in Japan HQ, not Panasonic NA.
Anyway, I was very happy to work in Panasonic HQ IT Department.
They provided self development and self management work environment which was rare in Japan, Even though, organization was traditional Japanese style and I could not have good chance to assignment in overseas subsidiaries.
Pros
Well Managed
Cons
Less Change

Worked there many years ago
Corporate Planning Analyst (Former Employee) –  Troy, OHJuly 30, 2018
Panasonic has a well-defined management philosophy, which is practiced as well as preached. The compensation was not great compared with typical U.S. companies, but the benefits were competitive.

Good Intern Position
Information Technology Intern (Former Employee) –  Columbus, GAJuly 24, 2018
Panasonic was a very quiet work environment. The work was handed to you and you worked at your own pace, and had a deadline of when it was supposed to be turned in. I enjoyed working there and was a fantastic opportunity to work there as an intern.

Strangled by their own systems
Sales (Current Employee) –  Houston, TXJuly 16, 2018
When a $1000 order for a school safety project is denied to a long term customer due to the system automatically blocking the order because the customer is a few days late on payment, It is clear that the red tape and massive approvals required to have the order approved clearly shows that the company has become a slave to their systems and if you ever ask about it the answer is always "that is the way the system is designed and nothing can be done about it"

Clear picture of what happens when flexibility to do whatever it takes to help a customer is not part of the culture.
Pros
Great benifits
Cons
Red tape and politics

A lot to unpack....
Toughbook Repair Technician (Former Employee) –  Leawood, KSJuly 6, 2018
This company drastically underpays employees, training is bad. Everyone else is out for themselves and won't help you unless they want something in return. You had to clock out to go to the bathroom. If you went to the bathroom longer than ten minutes, you were written up. Threats of firing occurred for those with medical conditions or injuries preventing them from working at normal capacity.

Although not paid by quantity of work, continued employment is strongly based upon turnaround of units and amount that are completed. If there was too much work to finish, you were written up. You are written up for having to take a sick day.
Pros
mastered taking apart and reassembling toughbooks
Cons
everything else

Do Not Recommend
Underpaid Worker (Former Employee) –  Newark, NJJune 26, 2018
I would not recommend this company. They do not treat their employees fairly and the salaries are terrible. No advancement opportunities at all. No confidentiality is kept there either. HR group is so unfair and they do not follow legal laws accordingly. They should be audited for a lot more than just compliance there.

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (Current Employee) –  Sparks, NVJune 26, 2018
I do not like speaking poorly about the company or it's people within, because everyone's experience is different. However, the main complaint that I have is the managers treat people unfairly.
