Case gets assigned, make calls, schedule appointments, complete interview...then some more, and type them up to the FED Govt. standards. Will take a year to learn the job...and when you do..there will always be changes...keeps you on your toes. I feel like this job is for people after they retire...since there is no interactions with co-workers. Good job to get a door into Federal agencies if you can market yourself.

Pros

work from home, manage own schedule

Cons

Extremely low pay for the amount of work you do

Great pay.

Would definitely recommend. Very competitive pay. Every day was pretty much the same. They could definitely upgrade their belt equipment (Holsters, belt, etc...)

Pros

Pay

Cons

Belt equipment issued was sub-par

I had great fun at this position

I was employed as a Captain with this company, responsible for about 80 people spread through a 50 mile or so area. We provided armed security services to many government agencies. It was challenging and basically a lot of fun.

Pros

A new challenge every day

Cons

Large responsibilities

No opportunity for growth , and management are very incompetent.

It’s a good place if your not looking for a career growth. However management is terrible. It could be a wonderful place to work at if NIH or Paragon hires competent individuals to run the contract.

Pros

Pay

Cons

Poor management

most of the employees are good ppl in a dangerous job.

management are morons and have lost touch with the employees. management is not able to intelligently listen and understand basic communication and issues with staff. Management fail to see the big picture and will undercut the employees at every turn.

Pros

all the work you want.

Cons

management and benefits

Great pay lots of training

Had to travel far from work site to company office and training locations. Initial Training is paid at minimum wage. All equipment is provided by the company.

Great job, great pay,

Great job it has great pay. You can work nationwide with this company. There are lots of different opportunities for you to change locations and work in a new environment.

Pros

Overtime, pay

Cons

Short breaks

Management is rough, coworkers are great if they stick around long enough to get to know.

Upper managent is good. Shift lead is good. Manager is an unfair jerk. Rules apply to some but not all. Worries about non important things and ignores anything actually important.

They hire stone lions. The training is bent to limit their liabilities.

The job is a grind.Screening public building entrants in a choreographed one size fits all manner.Qualifications every 6 months so safety focused that you are more worried about the instructors than you are about doing well on the test.

Pros

Vacation

Cons

A corp so bent on cost control that they go cheap on kit, and jackets.

Great pay. But thats about it.

Great pay. But management seems like it's always out to get you. Benefits are ok. Schedule is all over the place at first but once you get your set schedule it's nice. A lot of OT. And great pay.

Great Pay, but you will not be challenged to grow

You will be working twelve hour days, 6 days a week due to understaffing. The uniforms and associated items issued are not good quality and break or need to be replaced often. PM/DPM are not receptive to any new ideas unless it involves more discipline.

Pros

Pay

Good pay at the time, but management sucks, especially in San Antonio.

Very stressful place to work, poor management and FPS don't make it any easier, even the instructor is a joke. Going to the range and doing all the bs is not worth it.

Pros

Good pay, 401k

Cons

Management, Hr, Fps

The best security work you can get

The pay is great and benefits are mediocre. Alot is contextual to your area. I have to travel alot for work, but I get drive time and fuel for those longer drives to post. Stick to the post orders and you'll be alright. Cons are you have to play by every new and odd rule the Federal government wants. Thr biggest issue is keeping track of drivetime and fuel reimbursement. You have to check it weekly to make sure you are payed correctly.

Pros

Pay

Cons

Health insurance, travel distances

You will suffer here

This company is terrible. All you do is work long hours and get fired if you get caught sleeping cause you were tired. The selection process for individuals who work here is literally the worse. So many idiots working here its ridiculous.

Pros

Money

Cons

Everything else

coworkers are the only thing great about this place but do watch your back with them

Great place to work and great coworkers, one supervisor is always wanting to be right, others supervisors are way better, hardest part of the job is putting up with the people you come a cross, and keeping up with your credit and training. best part is the pay great pay for what we do.

Pros

Great Insurance, and pay

Cons

getting a break is hard unless your work at night or have coworkers coving you

Run

The worst company ever. They have the worst turnover rate ever. You have to ask to use The restroom. No lunch break. You sit for a whole 12 hrs. You can not read a book or do a puzzle

Management sucks.

Management and union don't really fight for their workers, job locations suck during the winter. Masks are required when working, making it difficult to identify people, forced vaccine bull... etc. I recommend not wasting time coming to work for them. Find a better job.

Pros

None

Cons

Everything.

Lots of hours

The Pittsburgh/Western PA side is hugely understaffed. Seems like they never hire. All of the management we did have has left, or is leaving. The company is pretty much in a free for all. Working all the employees, all with overtime. Don't get many days off. It could be ran a lot better.

Pros

Good pay.

Cons

No breaks, Overworked, Management, Not enough workers

Greatly working environment

Work place with decent work ethic Worker very friendly and working with opportunities for career advancement. People self organized to enhance productivity and accountability

Pros

Involved employee in decision making

Solid work environment and opportunities

Plenty of opportunities for growth and leadership due to turnover rate. Good stepping stone for people interested in local, state, or federal law enforcement. Majority of guards are prior law enforcement officers or military.

The pay is good but you are giving your entire life for money

A lot of the employees are lied to coming in the average person has to work a mandatory 72hr work week. Overnight you are working 12 hours with only one 30min break and are standing the entire time. The lieutenants don’t value you at all and you only see or hear from him when they feel the need to complain at you. Bathroom breaks are pretty much a sin and have been referred to as a privilege. With all that being said the pay is fantastic and if you can suck up being miserable for 3-6 months you can get a better post.

Pros

Pay

Cons

Short breaks poor management horrendous work life balance + many more
