This was my first job after grad school. I had complete control over the content. I loved being able to design groups as I saw fit. Also loved being able to decide how to take care of my other job duties. Perfect combination of freedom and structure. It’s wonderful to love what you do and know that you are making a difference.
Mental Health Technician in Fort Myers, FL

Would not recommend working here ever! Worked as an MHT & in Dietary. Total at PRH 4 plus years! Management only cares about Managers even when they are horrible. It is run like a prison & patients can tell they don’t matter. Bottom line is money & that’s why they keep poor Managers (especially the Dietary Manager) & run thru so many CEO’s. As soon as trouble hits & PRH is being “LOOKED AT” along comes a new CEO!

Avoid at all cost.Profits > PatientsUnsafe work conditionsMeds and bed model of careLack of COVID safety for patientsAlways remember they are a “for profit hospital”.Techs and Nurses there are generally amazing and provide as excellent care as possible within the limitations created by the poor judgment of administrative staff.
Cashier in Fort Myers, FL

PRH has many extremely caring staff who go through each day with a smile. I’ve seen employees go above and beyond for patients and each other. Just like every other hospital, it can be chaotic at times, but staff are encouraged to never let that interfere with the #1 goal, patient care.
Patient Account Representative/Financial Counselor in Fort Myers, FL
on December 14, 2020
Micro Management, unorganized and unstructured, not great health benefits, need more pay for the amount of work you do. Running in circles due to the director calling and emailing different duties all day long. No structure or what is important. Collect, Collect, Collect.... Patients not required to wear masks. Financial employees forced to go on floors with unmasked patients to sign papers that can be done during discharge.

The DON was mostly concerned with the prospective's attitude to mental health, substance abuse issues. (This is good.) She will promise you things but!
