Relaxed and plenty of work to stay busy at times
Valet Driver (Former Employee) – Santa Ana, CA – April 12, 2018
Each day starts off really busy. It was at John Wayne airport and people came in every day Monday-Friday to catch their flights. Valet drivers, myself included, would park customers vehicles if they chose not to do it themselves. While working there, I learned certain skills like cashier, driving special vehicles, some vehicle knowledge, managing keys, and by greeting customers properly as they come in or out. Management went through several changes for the better. Workplace is friendly. Everyone worked together and hardly anyone slacked around. Hardest part of the job was getting cars back to customers since often we get slammed and it's hard to keep up with the flow of customers flying in. Of course, the most enjoyable part of the job was driving other cars. Since I love vehicles and automotive in general, I had the option of driving every vehicle there and was dependable for special vehicles(Manual transmission). The only reason I give it 3 stars is the customers are VERY rude at times and impatient. It takes time to get your vehicle and they also have the option to call ahead if they choose not to wait. It's not our fault they can't plan ahead. But yea, just ill-mannered customers just like every other customer service job.
Great work flow. Easy going positions. Driver is the most enjoyable
Constant changes from the management. Minimum wage.
