My experience was one week. An application, an interview with the supervisors on location, and a callback within a week. At that point, a meeting with HR was setup to easily move through required paperwork in a day. HR has always been quick and ready to help with questions.

For a librarian a typical day is 8. For teachers, I see that all faculty work in excess of 8 hours a day which is typical of the teaching field.

I get the summers and holiday off and half 40 personal hour and 40 sick hours yearly. If we don't use them the forward them to the following year.

Firstly you apply with the school district and they do an initial screening, background check, etc. Once you are cleared, you are put in a data bank. Once in the data bank, you need to apply individually to the school of your choice. I was hired on the spot at my first interview.
