Worst place to work at.
Certified Nurse Assistant (Current Employee) - Schenectady, NY - December 19, 2020
Wouldn’t recommend if you’re a first time CNA, they don’t give good pay, their management is terrible and everyone there is so distracted by gossip instead of focusing on their work. There’s is a lot of favoritism in this environment and they do NOT give hazard pay. And if you work double the only give you gift cards instead of extra money.

Official response from Pathways Nursing and Rehabilitation Center
December 21, 2020Pathways is an union facility and the rate of pay was set forth by the union. The gift cards given are as an incentive to help pick up a shift/double shift and if a double shift is done, the second shift is automatically paid at O.T. rate.

CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant (Current Employee) - Niskayuna, NY - March 5, 2020
At Pathways you experience complex care from pediatrics to adults on ventilators or traumatic brain injuries. They offer a good structure and fair pay while offering good in-services as well.

CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant (Former Employee) - Schenectady, NY - November 11, 2019
There is very few supplies to perform care They only bring enough towels for first rounds, you can literally count them 1 towel to a patient and maybe 2 wash cloths five fitted sheets and three pillow case for a full unit of people. The quality of care could be a whole better There is absolutely no help on the units, it is everyone for themselves It is sad to see a company a five star when they don't have the essential s for these people

Decent place to work
Certified Nursing Assistant (Former Employee) - Niskayuna, NY - October 3, 2019
They just didn't have enough supplies (especially linen). A lot of call outs with staffing. Team work wasn't that great, we needed more supplies to work with.

Day Shift Supervisor (Former Employee) - Albany, NY - November 10, 2016
Organizing staff and ensuring everyone is ready for the twists and turns of the day.
A lot of residents and interns in the teaching hospital so you educate them and learn for them as well. Each department is very individualized and not a lot of interaction between them except for at bedside. Communication can be a challenge but the rewards are great with new programs, techniques and equipment.
Always education to be had whether in management or Physician education; you always are learning
