Stay Away
Contact (Former Employee) –  Santa Monica, CASeptember 17, 2018
Be warned if you are approached for a contract position with this company. They will lure you in with promises of lots of assignments and feel-good vibes. What they fail to tell you is that they will in no way give you any feedback, or assistance. They will simply not assign you anything, until you are at the point of practically begging for money. Empty promises, excuses and lies. They give you no opportunity for improvement, and fail to tell you that they survey every customer that a piece is turned in for. You won't get the results of the survey, so you have no idea what (and if) you're doing anything wrong. Emails go unanswered for days while they try and figure out which lie they are going to tell you next. Run far away.

Advice to leadership would include-Stop blaming your inability to develop people on your "volume," and call it what it really is, poor leadership and people skills. Be up front with people when they are trusting you with their income, and give a realistic outlook.

Great place for freelancers!
Freelance Content Writer/Copywriter (Current Employee) –  Santa Monica, CASeptember 10, 2018
With flexible scheduling for freelancers, this is a perfect gig to support an independent career. Pay is fairly average for this kind of work (content/copywriting), but work is fairly consistent.

Managed by Clueless, Unorganized Managers
Freelance (Former Employee) –  RemoteAugust 23, 2018
Having worked for them over a year now they constantly change the rules of the work process and expectations. The management is careless and unorganized, and have no idea how to actually market medical accounts or even basic marketing or SEO for that matter. They constantly reduce the rate of pay for freelancers and are always mistakingly commenting the wrong accounts or looking for work that was submitted already and clearly communicated that this was done. The editors and managers are sloppy with their work and have no business managing others.

Nice, open, natural lit workspace two blocks from the beach
Web Designer (Former Employee) –  Santa Monica, CAJune 12, 2018
Patientpop taught me how a startup is scaled. I was able to become a subject matter expert in my field through my work while management takes on a mentor approach and promotes a healthy workplace culture through company events.

The worst place I have ever worked. Completely and improperly managed, poor leadership, and extremely liberal. No thank you. Would rather be unemployed

Account Executive (Former Employee) –  Los Angeles, CASeptember 3, 2017
Has no features that competitor SaaS products have and is a hard sell. They have a high amount of turnover and management is very green. lack of advancement and never know when they will fire your dept.

Fast growing and engaging startup - exactly what I was looking for
Full Time Employee (Current Employee) –  Santa Monica, CAJune 15, 2016
Exciting startup located in the heart of downtown Santa Monica that encourages employees to self-manage. Unbeatable company culture.

-always something to do
-upper level management is accessible and present
-catered lunches on Thursdays
-great coworkers
-lots of opportunities for involvement and growth
Pros
Great location, catered lunch, micromanagement-free, lots of opportunities
Cons
Typical startup growing pains

It could be better
Implementation Manager (Current Employee) –  Las Vegas, NVApril 19, 2016
I like what I do, but they took an 80,000 a year position and dumbed it down to a 40,000 a year job. Management is a joke, my immediate manager is awesome but higher management is uneducated and they hire outside the company, they hire people who literally are 2 years out of college and give them director positions? Makes no sense.
