Corporate IT office is generally flexible, expected to be available from 9am - 3pm.
IT managers allow working from home but most people are in on most days. Weekend/evening emails are not the norm. Office is a ghost town at 5.
Work hours are long and they often expect you to work overtime without asking. If calls are still coming in or in queue you are expected to continue taking them. Otherwise managers will hound you.
They are somewhat flexible on hours. However, you need to be within the office from 9am - 3pm is the standard.
SOME managers are flexible with working from home. They are also working on "flexible hours" allowing every Friday off, but working four 10 hour days instead.
I think the corporate headquarters allows for work life balance for sure!
Work life balance is possible but one must own it.
