Management needs training
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Brooklyn, NYFebruary 18, 2019
The job was pretty easy and simple but management needs to be re-trained. I honesty did not like that my distract manager did not know how to use system and when corrected had an attitude. I also did not like that I was assigned to one store but was sent to various stores to cover for people that had called out without prior notice.

Poor work place environment
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Bronx, NYFebruary 16, 2019
Most of the locations are dirty, alot of the homeless people hang around in there begging for money. If you ask them to leave because they make the customers feel uncomfortable, they threaten you. Customers 8 times out of 10 are EXTREMELY rude !!!! Even if you are polite they blame you for the system temporarily shutting down they get irate when you ask then for their ID when needed. The managers are unprofessional, if you need a day off for something important they do not care AT ALL they still place you on the schedule.
Pros
Sitting all day
Cons
Short breaks, lack of work/life balance

High school all over again
Manager (Former Employee) –  Brooklyn, NYJanuary 21, 2019
Payomatic is a big high school and favoritism at its best , the district managers are like kids your only penalized if they don’t like you. Some days you work alone for 10hrs with out any breaks you have to eat when they aren’t customers in the store at some locations it’s kind of impossible. The shifts are always short tellers constantly call out or just don’t show up at all . It’s a huge mess unless ur between the ages of 18-23 I suggest you don’t apply to work there. The district managers tells all the stores your personal business it’s literally an high school for adults
Pros
You work alone there is no management to constantly look over you
Cons
You make your own schedule

High School All Over Again
CSR - Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Medford, NYJanuary 16, 2019
There is to much favoritism in this store. The manager is not professional at all. There is no confidentiality at all. You tell the manager something and everybody within the stores knows your business. This store is full of grown women acting like they are 15/16 gossiping about other employees. You will work every weekend, while the favorites are off on the weekends, OT will go to whoever they like or the staff that is like the teacher's pet .If you really need a job go for it, if you don't want drama, stress or looking for a place that has advancement this is not the place for you..,....

Payomatic may be a fast pace job, however, the company expects the worker to work through their lunch. Over time doesn't get approved until the follow week or they convince you to take an extra day off.

Don’t Care For Employees
Assistant Manager (Former Employee) –  Bronx, NYNovember 6, 2018
They don’t care to accommodate no matter how long you’ve been working there. So much work, not enough pay. It’s hard for them to give you a raise. The better worker you are; the more they abused that. But when it comes down to something you need; it’s a headache waiting to happen.

Pay, Schedule

Linden blvd-Teller (Current Employee) –  Brooklyn, NYAugust 12, 2018
PayOMatic is not a company I can see myself at for a long period of time. There is no moving up in the company, no pay raise, and you don’t have any security to protect the employees. You get penalized for staying a bit longer to get some over time. They also cut your house unwillingly

If you can’t do a favor for them they cut your hours. You can get in good with District Manager if you do overtime. You can do a shift and be asked to do a double and if you don’t do it they will never do you a favor. As far as schedules. They play favoritism your suppose to give a grace period before calling out it would be time if in my bed and I’m called 20 mins before a shift and asked to cover it. The staff are actually great. MANAGEMENT IS THE WORTH

Staff train new people and train is all the way in the Bronx
Pros
Friendly staff
Cons
Short breaks No set schedule only to favorites
