Mostly relaxed environment, poor pay and advancement
CNC Machinist (Current Employee) –  Depew, NYOctober 17, 2018
The management lacks personal skills and it’s a good old boys club. Decent place to work to gain experience but I wouldn’t make it a career here. There’s no set wages for the levels of experience each individual has so everyone has their own deal. Someone could walk in the door with half the experience of a current employee and make more an hour. The hiring sign is always up and it’s rare to see new faces as far as machinists are concerned. We’ve lost a lot of people to Moog recently and PCB is doing nothing about retaining their employees. Very poor management. Currently looking elsewhere.
Pros
100% paid healthcare
Cons
Terrible raises

microscopic soldering and spotwelding (Former Employee) –  Halifax, NCApril 21, 2018
A typical work day at PCB Piezotronics of NC INC would be sitting at your table looking through a microscope hand soldering circuit boards to be cleaned then tested to see if solder connections made a good or bad connection. Also spot welding and sand blasting sensors or connectors. What i liked most about this job was the paid breaks.

Calibration Technician (Former Employee) –  Depew, NYFebruary 8, 2018
Fun environment, low pay, not a career. Had nice perks and events, liked it there but needed to find a better job that would bring in more money of bills and family.

Technician II (Former Employee) –  Halifax, NCNovember 1, 2017
Everything was made with your hands. So if you have steady hands and your pretty quick you can do well there or at least to tech 2. But that could a few years.
Pros
Good working conditions
Cons
Hard to move up past tech 2
