Liked the fact that this was a close commute and weekly pay. Enjoyed coworkers, management was very unfair.
ORDER PICKER (Former Employee) –  Lake Zurich, ILMarch 10, 2019
The job itself isn't hard. There's no real challenge, and you don't have to think a lot. In a way it's a great place to just "work."

The issue is how the place is run. Whether that comes from management or the people above them., You will be written up for falling below the goal numbers as a picker or stocker, and do not mistake of believing that this won't happen if you're good at the job. Things in the warehouse will happen out of your control that will force your numbers down. That's just the way it is.

The belt will malfunction, Tote maintenance won't be able to keep up with the demand for all the mods (forcing you to run around looking for totes), or they'll ask you to move from chill to the freezer, or the freezer to dry, or any other swapping you can think of. When doing that you have to change your clothes (freezer is -20, chill is 35ish, and dry is just the ambient temperature of the warehouse) and then swap your position to the new area. All the while, your numbers fall further and further.

A simple job turns into a frustrating rat race to try and move as fast as possible, all while still managing to fail to meet the quota if you receive bad orders. A dozen gallons of milk per cart, several large items requiring lots of downtime while you add totes to the order to accommodate the items, any and every little thing that doesn't frustrate you when you start out will slowly start to make you miserable.Beyond all that though, the worst part is you can maintain good numbers, but you'll almost always be written up at some point for days that were out of your control.
more... They'll continue to do this (I've seen people get written up for days they were TRAINING) until you've exhausted all your "warnings" and they'll leave you on your "last" one until they deem it time to let you go.

This company is a revolving door of mediocrity, and it doesn't deserve hard working employs. It would be unfair to blame my managers, because I'm sure they also were stuck in similar positions to the "warehouse associates" but in a different way.

Lead Ambassador (Former Employee) –  Jersey City, NJMarch 3, 2019
Overall my work experience there was a very good one. All of the managers are very kind and treat all their employees fairly. All of the coworkers work as a team to get the job done.
Pros
The pay and the hours were great
Cons
Some days the time seems to go by slow

not worth it
Food Prep Associate (Former Employee) –  Lake Zurich, ILFebruary 24, 2019
the place has absolutely no value in the workers. supervisor always pitied and favored the older people out of fear so everyone would be sent home while the supervisor kept adding orders to the day. favoritism is a HUGE issue & everyone depends on the younger ones to do all the work. 12 hour shifts almost daily we’re absolutely not worth it. the pay is good but having to be there nearly everyday, all day & surrounded by older people who act like children is definitely not where i wanted to be. Don’t take action properly. someone was caught LICKING a scoop spoon for sour cream and they weren’t terminated. just sent home and they had no consequence. Training is trash, they have leads but two in particular have no clue. everyone trains differently and it’s a mess. i wasn’t able to cut vegetables for 3 months of me working there for no reason. Everything was a mess and was downhill once i began to do all the work for everyone and they started lacking. no communication & equality. don’t work here.
Pros
pay
Cons
everything else

Personal Shopper (Former Employee) –  Medford, NYFebruary 10, 2019
Easy job if you need a second income. It's just the management at the particular location I worked at were very unprofessional. Management was rude and would berate you for the slightest mistake. You don't get any benefits if your part time. The hours sucked. And they make you stay there even after your shift has ended and you tell them you can't stay because of other obligations. Overall I would not recommend this job.

Very High Turnover Rate For A Reason
Stocker (Former Employee) –  Hanover, MDFebruary 5, 2019
One of the least enjoyable places I’ve ever worked. I was a stocker on the first shift which required a bit of grocery shopping if orders were high. The pay was quite low compared to the work. Numbers are extremely crucial as they keep tally on how many items are shopped/stocked in an hour. Write ups were quite common. No one stays longer than 6 months. Great temporary job but not for the long haul.
Pros
None
Cons

cut throat warehouse. numbers is god and people so busy getting ep numbers that they walk infront of you while your looking for the item your trying to pick to pack and this is while your in training. aisles are 3 ft wide and have 5 to 6 people walking back and forth. scanners are garbage and alot of the items have to be entered manually because numbers on deli are not updated also kills time on ep's. those numbers are then posted outside of lunch room. only plus is pay everyweek.
Pros
paid everyweek
Cons
scanners suck outdated and a dog eat dog environment

A place for bullying
Shopper (Current Employee) –  Lake Zurich, ILJanuary 24, 2019
I am a part time employee only on the weekends. This job is hard on the body and if you’re not of the majority race you get bullied. You discuss with management and they do not do a thing. We are all adults and your title and where you work should not define you. Because you don’t need a degree or skill you don’t need to act like you do not have any morals. There is lack of organization. You clock in and go to any station which is a problem when employees get territorial. When the work gets overwhelming just go to any station to get away with don’t doing it.
Pros
Overtime
Cons
Short breaks

Shopper (Current Employee) –  Hanover, MDJanuary 10, 2019
The orientation was pretty good and they show what you’ going into but training is phony. They show a power point and then they just throw in there expecting for you to meet the minimum orders to pick without proper guidance. The gear they give is alright for the wrist mount but it won’t fit everyone but it could be just me. The training day isn’t really training it’s bascially a shift depending on what set shift your working on. They have a good incentive program for raises but they really need to focus on properly training people because not everyone is gonna be comfortable hitting the “65%” mark (300 orders) on the first day. It’s a good temporary job but not a permanent job if you’re going to school or if you have family. The shifts really take up the majority of your day and sleep even for part time. I found my self sleeping more than I did before.
Pros
Incentive, easy work, temporary
Cons
Scheduling, training, working hours

Managers gave out writeups for no reason and fired people for very poor reasons.
Warehouse Supervisor (Former Employee) –  Lake Zurich, ILNovember 6, 2018
get to work, check emails,. take the floor, manage the work flow. Management was very poor and didn't give credit where credit was due and also yelled at you for no reason. The hardest part of the job was trying to get your pick percentage while having a supervisor bounce you from workstation to workstation. the most enjoyable part of the job was the people.
