Horrible Training, Horrible Managers & Poor Communication
Personal Lines Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) – Pekin, IL – November 28, 2018
This review is specific to the Personal Lines Customer Service representative jobs. The job is a lot of work with no appreciation. The training is lacking as there is no training manual and when your trainer fails you, they will blame you. Half of the ladies stand around socializing all day not doing their job and that's perfectly acceptable. Some of the ladies even access information they shouldn't and share it with other co-workers but that is also acceptable. Don't try to get a read on the managers because they don't like you...period. They don't care if you succeed or fail as a new hire. These aren't the words of someone bitter, these are the words of someone who worked their butt off despite the poor training, poor communication, and indifferent treatment. Now, let me stress, the company itself is amazing with great benefits. The pay is decent but not for the amount of work you do, I did less work at another insurance company and made much more. The personal lines department is not a good place to work. So, I would suggest looking elsewhere if you have any self respect and a desire to work for people who won't take you for granted. This department has a high turnover rate too. I wonder why they didn't disclose that in my interview...
