I had two job interviews and was hired within three weeks. Once hired I had to have a drug and alcohol test, tuberculosis shot, occupational therapy to ensure I was able to perform the job.

172 hrs to start out. you have to use 24 hrs of pto before sick days are used.

Hire managers that actually care about their employees and want them to do an awesome job. There may be some departments that have this but I did not find this at all - very sad in a healthcare facility that has so much going for it! Fire a few of those managers who have high turnovers - there may be a very good reason why turnover is so great in certain areas, wonder if anyone cares? When you leave and they have an exit interview, no one really wants to hear what you have to say and beware that if you say anything negative and decide to join their employment later, you may be black-listed because of trying to help them understand what may be wrong with their institution and morale.

It depends on how busy the ER is..whether there are stats on the floor, stats in the nursery...it all depends on the volume of people that come in through the doors from 10p-8a.

The healthcare patients receive is excellent. I just worry about the work environment.
