Poor upper management
Banker IV (Former Employee) –  Brattleboro, VTMay 28, 2019
Had a horrible experience from my first day. My supervisor was absolutely terrible. She was rude and talked about everyone behind their backs. When brought to hr and upper management they didnt care clearly. Went threw months of trying to have a better experience for nothing they refused to believe their new supervisor was absolutely rotten to her employees not to mention all the ethics issue that they turned a blind eye to.. such a shame. I went into the company looning for a career only to find out how shady things really are on the inside.
Had to pay to park to work. Horrible management. Goals unreasonable. Unhealthy environment.

advancement opportunties, very chaotic at times
BRANCH MANAGER AVP (Current Employee) –  MassachusettsJuly 19, 2019
People's United is a decent place to work. There is a heavy emphasis on training and education. Senior Leadership is accessable and genuinly wants the best for its employees.

The hardest part about working here is the bank is always in transition. The business model is based on M and A. When People's aquires a new bank it is often felt throughout the foot print. Preperation for aquisitions does not feel adequate and many suffer for it.

Ultimately a great place to work but you must be prepared for what can be a very chaotic atmosphere at times. Must be self directed and willing to deal with change.
