You do learn alot from the company, it can be long hours and you do have weekend call. I rose thru the ranks quickly but I had previous manager experience. If you give a lot of your time you can advance but you will live there. Some of the managers work 60 plus hrs and don't get compensated for it. It is a shame they are really good managers and they are getting burned out.
