Executive Administrative Assistant (Former Employee) – Alameda, CA – February 14, 2018
New management was not honest when it came to whether or not you could keep your job. Held on for several months after acquisition and was told I was going to be kept on only to be surprised one day when I was laid off with no warning.
Good people, but lack of respect from upper management
Principal Product Manager (Current Employee) – Alameda, CA – December 11, 2017
Pros: - Good people - Smart Engineers
Cons: - Executives have difficulty understanding what does it take to motivate the engineers in the Silicon valley - Lost a lot of good engineers. Granted some of them were going to leave after the acquisition, but the ones that stayed... we didn't do a good job providing correct incentives to keep them. Hence we lost a lot of good talent, and we will continue to lose them if we don't do something about it - Engineering driven culture still persists, but not as bad as before. Still needs work - Work culture is not that collaborative, but with proper leadership it is not hard to get the teams to work together.
Advise to management: - If your goal is to simply sell the company at the maximum profit within a year or two, then I think you are in the right track. - But if it's about building & sustaining a great company that will last for a long time, then you need to invest in your people & make them feel like they have an ownership & responsibility to the product. Don't just force them to do things, since they are already overworked & over-allocated. - Provide proper incentives. Compare with other Tech firms in Silicon Valley, and you will know what you are missing in terms of incentives & perks.
Good company; great products; good management team; working on refocusing products for integration and new features; each office has it's own personality (monthly lunches; families are included in some of the off site activities).
Performance Lab Engineer (Current Employee) – Alameda, CA – March 31, 2014
The people who work here are general very pleasant and helpful. The exception being if you are not in a specific development area, the tend to disregard you suggestions and ideas. Management is always changing and hard to know what is going on all the time.
Small work force, good perks and atmosphere
Hard to get ideas noticed and discussed if not a long time employeee and in the area
