Work & Life Balance

Driver in Industry, CA
on May 4, 2021
Not for the weak.
Long days, heavy routes, not the best equipment. Pros: union, the money and mon-fri schedule. 100% touch freight so expect to work. Good opportunity to make money but will take its toll on your body fairly quickly.
Selector/Picker in New Windsor, MD
on May 9, 2021
I can’t speak about the entire company, but the New Windsor, MD location is the worst place I’ve ever worked. The management team just sits in their office and blames everyone else while sitting in meetings refusing to help the company be productive. You’ll spend anywhere from 10-16 hours slaving away while being told how horrible you do your job. They throw money at employees while tanking the business. Do yourself a favor and avoid this sinking ship. The management team would rather burn the building to the ground than do any actual, productive work. Forget logic and reason because they do not exist at this location.
Manager in Gilroy, CA
on April 27, 2021
I have been here a couple of years and things have improved significantly from the private company mentality that was previously here. Our management staff (Operations) really seems to train, support and work hard to make it a great place to work.
Delivery Driver in Henderson, CO
on April 19, 2021
Pay is great if you are working as a borrowed relief driver from another PFG DC (60-65/hr). As a driver based out of Henderson, 265/day minimum. Do the simple math. Equipment (horrific). ELD systems (archaic). Routing (indefensible). Warehouse (worst I’ve seen in 20 plus years in the industry). It’s like working for US Foods without the laughable Union. You will spend more time moving product around on trailer than actually delivering. There are middle managers looking to change things for the better, but that is an extraordinary task considering the dumpster fire that is PFG Henderson. Do your psyche a favor and hard pass on this company.
Area Sales Manager in Augusta, ME
on April 12, 2021
Used to be it's excuses and pay cuts. There is a serious lack of teamwork. Communication is non existent between departments. When communication between departments does occur its accusatory. People just want to cover their butts
