What is the hiring process like? I hear it can be pretty fast. I had a phone interview last week. This past Monday had a video interview. It's now Friday and have not heard back from them. I am wondering if I should call and follow up with them?

I was called by a recruiter, first Talked the the Director on a Tuesday for a good little while. He built up the company and the position. Sounded like I was a good candidate. Got me and the wife excited as the position is in Hawaii. Followed up on Sat. He said a decision would be made the following Tuesday. That was nearly 2 weeks ago. If I didn’t get the job, ok, but is it really to hard to just tell me that? It’s Leadership 101 and just good professionalism to keep people informed, whether positive or negative. Disappointing in that concept alone.

In a matter of about 2 weeks I had the video interview, then the live phone interview, and was offered the job next day. I signed my contract , filled out sf86 … now its a waiting game for me.. submitted already twice, since they keep sending it back because of a military boot camp address . so now just waiting for my background check and then clearance.

When you start going thru the paperwork on line for your background information it goes back and forth several times and even after it said all information was submitted it still comes back to yoi and you! Good luck!!!! I went thru this and yes at first you are thinking it is going fast...ha! I doubt it has changed in the past few months!

Long and drawn out. It took over a year to get my clearance as they are so backed up.

Hiring managers are supposed to have 3+ interviews within 48 hours of the position going live to the public and make a swift decision if the interviewed candidates qualify. If not, they can continue sourcing candidates. It would not hurt for you to reach out to the Recruiter for an update
