Good place to work but
DSP (Direct Support Professional) (Former Employee) - North Kingstown, RI - September 10, 2023
The clients are amazing. However management isn't very understanding when you need to call out because your sick or emergency. Management also leaves a lot of harder tasks to dsps

Productivity over people
Treatment Coordinator (Former Employee) - North Kingstown, RI - August 17, 2023
The ‘for-profit’ mentality means that they prioritize productivity over people. No work-life balance, and a toxic work culture. The organization is organized and has decent resources.

Good place to work.
DSP (Direct Support Professional) (Former Employee) - East Greenwich, RI - August 1, 2023
Good work environment. Always need people to support the residents and those that work here seem to do the best they can. Good place to work if you're young and are looking to gain experience and life perspective.

Fun rewarding job that teaches you many skills
Site Supervisor (Former Employee) - North Kingstown, RI - July 6, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? They promote from within. They treat the people they support and staff with dignity and respect and help you grow as a direct support professional. Fun and friendly work environment! What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Having to come in during all weather and holidays What is the work environment and culture like at the company? They listen to the staff and think out of the box. They are willing to meet with you and help if you are having a hard time with something.

Fun and supportive place to work.
ASL Interpreter (Current Employee) - North Kingstown, RI - June 1, 2023
They are willing to work with their employees. They have a fair performance management led by employees. Their goal is not to remove employees but give them resources and trainings to succeed. Great incentives to do your best
Pros
Recognition of going above and beyond duties.
Cons
None I've found after 4 years

it's a job
Direct Support Professional (Current Employee) - North Kingstown, RI - February 26, 2023
Get paid to go to the beach, aquariums, other fun places. not a long term place to stay. The company has become less enjoyable to work for over the past years.
Pros
bonuses and pay
Cons
Management. No built in/paid breaks, you work straight through your shift. High turnaround

Direct Support Professional (DSP) (Former Employee) - Rhode Island - January 18, 2023
Worked here for 3.5 months. Did more than the other DSPs did. They are very clique like. They don’t like you because your new They fire you for no reason. They treat the clients like garbage. They even put there hands on them and push them when that are in one of there fits. they let people talk about you and they don't do anything about it if you don't open you mouth your in trouble and if you open your mouth your in trouble this place is a joke and they don't care for the clients like they say they do

Clients are amazing, management and co-workers are not great.
Direct Support Professional (Former Employee) - North Kingstown, RI - January 8, 2023
Worked here for 6.5 months. Did more than the other DSPs did. They are very clique like. If you aren’t friends with the other DSPs, they automatically don’t like you, and have a lot to say about how you don’t fit our job. They fire you without telling you why. They don’t fire you correctly. They take you for the schedule and make it look obvious. They treat the clients like garbage. Some of the family members I’ve encountered while working here, dislike this place.
Pros
The clients, pay, overtime
Cons
Management, co-workers, office staff

Low accountability
Manager (Current Employee) - Rhode Island - January 6, 2023
Expectations are not the same for everyone. Many do the bare minimum and are praised while those who work hard and do the job correctly are overlooked. Promotions are given to whoever applies, very often unqualified and poor work habits who did not successfully fill their role as a staff. You are just a body and they are happy to move on to the next person until they are burnt out and leave. Little to no support or interaction from upper managment.

Run! Don't walk
DSP (Direct Support Professional) (Former Employee) - Rhode Island - December 13, 2022
The company is ran like a high-school popularity contest. It is not client based at all, it is who you know. The obsurd amount of neglect and abuse witnessed there was disgusting and the fact it often is swept under a rug deplorable. Staff and management vape in these people's homes and vehicles. If you care about people and want a person based company who care for the people they support this is not the one for you.
Pros
The people supported are amazing
Cons
The whole culture. Abuse. Neglect

Overworked and underpaid.
DSP (Direct Support Professional) (Former Employee) - Rhode Island - September 8, 2022
Management favors the ones showing up late, running personal errands, being inappropriate. For those who work hard, they get nothing. No flexibility. Barely get pay raises. Capped off after couple years.

Heavy ups and downs
Direct Support Professional (Former Employee) - North Kingstown, RI - July 2, 2022
Makes due on their raises when state budgets open up. You’ll only move up if you’re in great graces with higher ups, not if you actually would be great for the position. Clients deserve better.

Opportunity to grow and work with amazing people
Direct Support Professional (Current Employee) - North Kingstown, RI - May 18, 2022
Perspectives is a great employer to work for and everyone is supportive including clinical teams and management. So many opportunities for growth and a great place to have a career. Like every job, there are hurdles to get through and challenges, but I wouldn't change what I do.

Rewarding job
DSP (Former Employee) - North Kingstown, RI - May 3, 2022
Open minded, supportive management. Lots of room for growth. When state budgets allow they follow through on raises, often more than what was expected. Health benefits are good. Poor work life balance and running short staffed increases burn out and leads to unsafe situations.

Enjoyable
Behavioral Specialist (Former Employee) - Providence, RI - March 17, 2022
I had a good time and it was a good experience toward fulfilling psychology internship requirements. I was able to have a good deal of independence in the work. I worked with a variety of kids with different developmental issues. There was a lot of online training involved which was nice. There are a lot of different teams or departments all serving different populations. I ended up working for three of them to fit the hours into my tight schedule. Most 2-3 hour shifts were consistent each week. You travel to each client and decide which ones to take on based on your availability. Typically there was a greater demand for after school hours. Check the website to get an idea of all the different teams/departments and apply to the one that interests you the most. But once in there are regular company wide emails advertising available shifts in every department. Seemed like advancement is encouraged and supported well within the company with new upper level opening becoming available with frequency. Management was still helpful accommodating and kind in each department I worked for.
Pros
Independence
Cons
Pay is kinda low but average for field
