The management sucks they changed the pay from $9 to $7.25, they are only flexible with high school students if you are not a hs student and are in college or just have another job then you will be constantly asked to fill in for people almost everyday, if you are a hard worker they will use that to every advantage while others are up front chatting. They have great goals for the store but they are not met bc of the management and staff

Was hired last month and every day I go to work I can still say I love my job. I love getting to see all kinds of animals every day, love getting to interact with all kinds if different dog breeds as well as animals I have never encountered in person before, I love that everyone I work with are such nice and welcoming people, and I love the atmosphere. Some days are tougher than others but that is only due to a phobia I am working hard to break free from. I love helping customers find what they need and just being helpful in general. I can’t say anything about other locations since I have never worked at any aside from the one I currently work at but the one I work at is amazing! Plus as a pet owners all your pet care needs are right there! I can go to work and shop for my fur babies after my shift ends. The people are amazing (both staff and majority of customers I have encountered so far) and the environment is amazing. I would definitely recommend this job to people!

Perfect job if you are a hs student. The pay is not great and management and coworkers will talk behind your back .The store manager often leaves the store 3-4 hours earlier than he is supposed to.With the amount of people they have working there you should average somewhere between 10 and 25 hours per week .

Being around the animals was great but management talked down to you. I got trained in one thing but not in another and they acted like it wasn’t their fault. They don’t try hard enough to keep employees. Girls were mainly kept on registers while the guys mostly stocked which was dumb. Management spent more time out back smoking.

I worked for Pet Supplies through high school and college. It was a great place to work for most of that time. The pay is pretty low, but as an entry level job, I learned many transferable skills here to build up my resume and job experience. It was definitely worth it and made me far more prepared to move on to an actual career. My manager was amazing for most of my time there and he taught me a great deal as well. I think it is a good place to work starting out in the work force and you'll get a great workout slinging heavy bags of feed all day long!
