I did! The training videos will go in one ear and out the other. You'll learn the most about the animals as you go about your day in the store.

Yes. Many of my coworkers know hardly nothing about animals. You learn as you go, but it helps to gave experience because customers expect you to know everything there is to know about every animal ever. Literally, customers expect you to be a veterinarian.

Yes, you have the opportunity to work here even if you don't have any prior knowledge of animal husbandry, that will come from working there. Petco offers every employee in store training modules that are part of your employment and continually updating. It is a plus but only if you have actual first hand experience that you have had to deal with, not just something that you read on the internet.
