Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) – Rhinelander, WI – June 10, 2019
When Petco decided to close the Drs Foster and Smith facility, they offered no assistance for customer support to help the customers. We were left high and dry and expected to answer questions from customers that we had not been provided by corporate. We were left in the very precarious position of taking care of customers without any support from corporate.
Guest Advisor/LOD (Current Employee) – Union City, CA – July 14, 2019
The work is pretty repetitive by week nothing new really happens. You receive shipment, work it out, work on backstock, then zero out the missing products, and repeat. Along with the obvious of helping the guest and working cash register every day as well. It is a really good learning experience for people who are really into animals you learn a lot about the care of everything and would be a cool spot for people trying to get their foot in the door for animal care. Have been to a few stores and overall either things get done and work morale is terrible or nothing gets done everything looks terrible but morale is good. There is very little to no room for advancements with the company or raises for that matter regardless of who you are or how long you have been there. Would only recommend the job to people who are still in school or want a part-time job otherwise probably not worth the stress.
