Considering leaving because my SL is extremely rude ever since I made my first mistake. He caught me on my phone once and never forgave me when legit everyone else does it and he never catches them. Then he got mad at me for not informing him but informing my other pet care person that I was leaving for my 15. After that he finds reasons to pick on me and other employees that he dislikes. He finds reasons to get upset. I was doing Bettas with 2 other pet care people on the floor. He got enraged with me because I was in the back, doing bettas, and assumed if he needed help he'd get the other 2 Pet Care people. Unfortunately not, he just found this as a reason to get upset at me. Probably going to report him to HR. I admit I have made mistakes but he picks favorites so hard.

What ticks me off is why are these stores and suppliers not turned in. Abuse of animals is not acceptable on any level.

PetSmart was a great company to work for. I started off on the register then moved to early morning stoker. Eventually made it to pet care manager. We then got a new manager in the store and she totally ruined everything. The flow was off the sales where affected. She made very poor and personal choices at work. I decided to move to another store with my pay and position. They agreed and when the move was done. I awaited my first check at the new store to only find out they had cut my pay by almost $5 and my position at the store was no longer available. Only to tell me a week after that. That I would have todo the work all the way up again. At this point I gave my 2weeks and decided to look for better job else where. Things really need to change in the stores in my state. I also felt super bad for a lot of the animals we got. The supplier would always bring some animal that wasn’t well. And we would have to reject it and god knows what happens to the lil guys. And when we didn’t catch them. They would be sick in our care and it’s a trip to the vet for a hamster that cost $10 smh. Almost on a weekly.

I am sorry to read the answers. Seems all had sbout the. Same answers. I would not do very well with people who seem to just csre about themselves not the animals that they should care about. So much good could happen if people care seems. You dhoud ask your people uf they love anlmals and care about the lives which you have intrusted to them .lcoul and would not stand for any kind of abuse to one of gods gifts he has given us. R.g.

The possibility that an animal could eventually get hurt in my care ended up being too much for me. I still have nightmares about all the things that could have gone wrong. I really liked the managers and my coworkers though.

No apreciaban el trabajo dado, tampoco pagaban lo que correspondia, tras de eso tenia que soportar faltas de respeto en frente de clientes y empleados.

My store doesn't have any cameras, so I was unable to prove that coworkers weren't doing their jobs ie: feeding and watering the pets. We had frogs that went days without food and snakes that got too cold because the manager never ordered the lights to keep them warm.
Animals get lost, die, and even get stolen because of poor training and poor leadership.
In the store I worked in, if you weren't part of the gaggle or clique they made up lies about you, and even when you did try to fix any mistakes you made you were deemed unworthy. One person was demoted for being slow but the people that literally neglected pets until they DIED still had their jobs. It's all about profit, not the people and not the pets.

I was let go from Whittier PetSmart because I had too many absences during my pregnancy, while I was first employed there. They let me go about a year and a half after my pregnancy.
