Change is not always good!

FAMILY FIRST??? Yeah right!
Leadership and managers will repeatedly say that change is good! Personally speaking, I agree with that completely. Though not when the changes impact EVERYONE.
The company has never offered Sick Time to its employees. When an employee is sick and had to be out of work for a day, we were able to use our personal time to cover the loss in pay for that day. The company does not pay well enough to not allow employees to work from paycheck to paycheck, so years ago the company had a policy to allow employee use their personal time as sicktime.
2019, the company changed their attendence policy to not allow personal time to be used if an employee needs to call in sick of a day. Since the company does not provide sicktime, if an employee has a family emergency, or is sick and can not come into work - the employee losses a days pay.
Employees are encouraged to ask questions, when questions are asked to why the company has made this decision. The answer in return is "it's what other companies are doing". Shortly after the start of 2018, leadership announced they want to become the "employer of choice" in the area. The statements they make compaired to their actions and decisions conflict, which makes PGT Innovations (aka: PGT Industries) a troubling place to work - especially if you hope to make a career of working with PGT
To many feel good benefits with not enough pay.
