Good place to work
PCR (Current Employee) –  NYNovember 11, 2018
The patients are great. They really appreciate what you are doing and you have enough time to help them on their journey. You're allowed to help people every moment of every day.

mismanaged disaster
packaging technician (Current Employee) –  Hamptonburgh, NYAugust 23, 2018
Management can't get on the same page for anything. Operations employees are constantly pulled in thousands of directions because management has no idea what they are doing or what to do to move the business forward. Planning is nearly nonexistent in a manufacturing facility where planning is extremely integral since plants must be planted 5 months in advance of demand. When operations employees try to bring up issues or request necessary resources, we are often denied or ignored or told that these issues will work themselves out. Employees are expected to work at a level high above their title, scientists and technicians being asked to make management and higher level decisions and solve high level problems at the company (of which there are many). Further, employees are expected to take on more and more responsibility with no increased compensation or bonuses for the extra they are constantly taking on. Or if there is compensation to be given, employees are expected to take on the responsibilities 3-6 months before a title change and raise is given. Employees are expected to work 10-12 hour days 5 days a week, sometimes on weekends too, because management can't understand the needs of the business to properly staff or equip the facility.

Awesome Learning Expereince
Processing Technician (Former Employee) –  Dwight, ILAugust 9, 2018
I loved learning something new here every day! It was also really cool to know I was making a difference with my work. The environment was really different than anywhere I've ever worked before. It was pretty laid back, but management definitely made sure we stayed on top of accurately recording every last detail of everything we do. I had a blast working here!
Pros
3 total breaks, fun environment
Cons
Miserably hot in the greenhouses in summer

Great Staff
Dispensary On-Site Security Lead (Former Employee) –  North Aurora, ILJuly 13, 2018
The staff at the dispensary level are great to work with. There is a bit of a disconnect between corporate and dispensaries though. Retail hours, so varied by day of the week. Really great patients and coworkers.
Pros
Free swag, great people
Cons
Corporate micromanagement of dispensary staff

Revolving door of Employees
Cultivation Tech (Former Employee) –  IllinoisJuly 12, 2018
Beware of this company. They seem very promising at first, but you are likely to get fired for no reason at all. Good job performance does not guarantee job security at this company, in fact it might be the opposite, it's a gamble. Managers are greatly inexperienced here and like to pretend they know what they are doing but in the end, they just end up extremely unorganized and like to blame everyone else for the mess. Definitely not worth your time to be an employee here. Passionate people who are also good workers are not welcome here.
Pros
Free breakroom snacks
Cons
No job security, awful management

A decent job, certainly not a career
Cultivation Technician (Current Employee) –  Montgomery, NYMay 16, 2018
I was told throughout the interview process that management likes to promote from within and foster a positive work environment by reinforcing strong work ethic and values. After a year of taking on responsibilities that went above and beyond the job's description, I was denied a raise and was also denied other responsibilities that I sought to accomplish (if not for compensation, then for my own experience and knowledge). Management is poor in the workplace due to them also not being compensated fairly.

This company lacks respect for their employees and unfortunately do not encourage passion and innovation at work. I would not recommend this company for anyone who is passionate about horticulture, cannabis, or simply want a job that feels good to go to.

PharmaCann knows quite well that for every position in the workplace, they have hundreds of applicants waiting to take someone's place. They take advantage of this information and are not interested in any comments or concerns that employees may have.

Please continue looking; this is not the place for young people looking to begin a career and become involved in the budding cannabis industry.
Pros
Snacks in breakroom
Cons
'Full-time' is only 35-38 hours weekly, therefore overtime is out of the question. Three holidays off a year, with only twenty days of total paid time off. Poor management and a negative work environment

Look the other way, I beg you!
Processing Technician (Current Employee) –  Dwight, ILNovember 3, 2017
This company is one of the worst manufacturing and distribution businesses that I have ever worked for. The management is the biggest joke at this place, nobody has any clue how to run a department or basic business principles. They fire anyone with ambition or a good work ethic, promoting people with zero experience and no idea how to manage people.

Everything this company does is last minute with no forethought on any decision. HR, CEO, and upper management paint this picture of a fine oiled machine when they really are a startup company that happens to have endless money coming in from obviously misled investors that probably will not see any return. They wont remain a player in the cannabis industry, they are getting swept by companies that have experience and know how to execute.

Over two years of employment with no raise or opportunity for advancement in sight. I would bet they see a huge walk off in the near future from all areas of the business.
Pros
They spend a lot of money on breakroom snacks
Cons
Everything, the water stinks, the air quality is unhealthy, employee safety nightmare

Horrible place to work
Production Worker (Former Employee) –  Dwight, ILOctober 20, 2017
You can look at the reviews for their product on Facebook. Constant moldy cannabis. Sometimes even eccoli contamination. Upper management has NO clue what they are doing. Fires employees for no reason. Got rid of everyone that did know about Cannabis.
Pros
None
Cons
HR always up to no good, CEO makes promises he doesn't keep, substandard products, need I say more

Company doesn't value employees
Processing technician (Former Employee) –  Hillcrest, ilSeptember 20, 2017
It does not matter how hard you work. It doesnt even matter that you have passion for the industry. Actually, if you know anything about the industry it will count agianst you because management doesnt like it when employees know more than they do. The only people that love this comoany are friends with the CEO, the office people in HR, and upper management. Otherwise, employees are replaceable and they do get replaced regularly. They like to get rid of hardworking employees for fresh new faces they can manipulate. Lots of employee turnaround. Unstable job security, even if you think you might have it.

Wannabe cannabis company
cultivation technician (Current Employee) –  Dwight, ILSeptember 14, 2017
This company is run by people who have no idea what cannabis is all about let alone what cannabis even is. Managers fire people all the time, especially if they are good, passionate employees. They just love letting people go and hiring new people every 2 months or so. It has been a revolving door of employees since day one. Everything is unorganized and thrown together last minute. Not only that, but the company has so much money from investors throwing money around, but nothing ever improves.
Pros
breakroom snacks
Cons
management. Horrible CEO who doesnt care about anything except getting more money from investors.

PharmaCannis hosts a very hostile and unprofessional workplace for all employees. The health standards are a bare minimum. Management is very confrontational and unwilling to listen to suggestions. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
