Job Culture
Management strives to scare employees into submission
implementations (Former Employee) –  New York, NYMarch 29, 2018
There is a cult atmosphere wherein employees are routinely encouraged to report on their co-worker's weaknesses or missteps in the workplace. Recommendations for improvement to the company or the senior management are considered traitorous and there is no confidentiality whatsoever. The annual company meetings are drunken lockdowns where all employees are expected to be together from 6 am to after midnight and everyone gets wasted. Every year there are firings from that meeting. Culture of the organization is to devote your entire waking existence to nothing but Phreesia. Employees are encouraged to sell functionality that does not exist. I would not recommend taking a job here under any circumstances.

Consultant (Former Employee) –  RemoteOctober 27, 2017
Pay is very high, especially for people fresh out of college. Training is limited and career growth is based on politics. No formal performance evaluations. Managers are allowed to release people based on personal afflictions.

Unlimited PTO but you're made to feel guilty if you take it
Pros
Remote work for experience consultants
Cons
high hours, political landscape, no 401k match

Productive and enjoyable place to work. I would recommend my friends and family members to work at Phreesia. The culture is competitive but fun.

Professional Implementation Consultant (Former Employee) –  RemoteSeptember 12, 2017
The company is looking to hire fresh out of college. The burn out rate is very high. It is long hours and high stress. You will learn a lot and get good experience with customers and with the implementation process.
Pros
Experience, unlimited PTO
Cons
Stress, lack of training, hours

Should be a more mature company
Manager, Technical Implementations Group (Former Employee) –  New York, NYJuly 19, 2017
Over 10 year old company with a start up mentality. The leadership is dynamic and changes position to match the times. it does not feel like they take their staff into consideration

Travel across the country weekly to meet with prospects to discuss their goals and determine if our solution fit their needs.

Hardest part of the job is to drive urgency and be away from home

interesting place to work
Senior IT Administrator (Former Employee) –  New York, NYJune 14, 2017
Interesting place to work. All employees are professionals and smart. At the organization if you love your job you’d be loved by management and if you like your job you’ll be hated….

Great place to get experience for young people just out of college
Enterprise Implementation Consultant (Current Employee) –  RemoteMarch 17, 2017
Company culture is good for people who live in NY, Raleigh or Ottawa. Difficult for remote workers as the support is not always there and the expectation to train staff, document everything, keep a time sheet, is the same even if you are working 60 hours a week plus traveling. Good for young people to get experience.

Wolf in Sheep's Clothing
Implementation Consultant (Former Employee) –  RemoteAugust 25, 2016
This is a very strange company to work for. On one hand, you will work with fantastic team members in the New York and Ottawa offices. On the other hand, you will in most cases work for extremely inexperienced, overworked managers, with little people skill, but immense product knowledge. Be prepared to work upwards of 12-15 hour days (which is expected) and travel constantly. Many of the vetted managers with this company foster a very cult-like atmosphere, which you will never be a part of. This will ultimately leave you with a feeling that you are beneath them, even when in most cases you will have more healthcare experience than them.

Be very leary when accepting a position here. 75% of the people that started with me at this company quit within the first 6 months of hire due to the lack of work /life balance. Also, you will work for an insane, egotistical freak of a CEO. The hardest part of working for this company is knowing you will be making this guy millions when he ultimately sells Phreesia.
Pros
Great Employees, Very Quick Hire
Cons
Terrible Managers, Worse CEO

Great people with a great vision. They have a keg in the office in New York and the people are fun to hang out with. Very flexible personalities and dress is casual

Organization advocated strongly telling customers that our IT solution integrates with all EHRs when that was not the case.
Pros
Great technology.
Cons
Leadership lacking experience, deceptive practices and poor on-boarding.
