The acquisition changed the company dynamic; reduced health benefit while increasing deductible and premium; reduced vacation (but increased company paid holidays by one to compensate); removed anniversary vacation allowance.
Product Support Engineer (Current Employee) – Redmond, WA – December 13, 2017
Physio-Control, Inc. is a great place to work. I would recommend it to any seasoned professional looking to make life saving medical devices. It's not just a job, it's fulfilling at the end of the day. I go home every day and know that I made a difference.

Senior Production Buyer Planner/New Product Dev (Former Employee) – Redmond, WA – September 29, 2017
Managing material requirements, suppliers, and ensuring on-time delivery to support production was a typical day. No day was exactly the same. Risk management, supplier sourcing, new product development activity, and releasing new purchase orders could be an part of a daily activity.
Senior Engineering Technician (Former Employee) – Redmond, WA – July 19, 2017
The company spent more time chasing it's tail than it did anything else which made things very difficult to move forward. They always seemed to want to apply a"band-aid" to cover up problems instead of fixing them the right way the first time. "Never enough time to do it the right way but time to fix it again later".
Field Service Representative (FSR) (Current Employee) – Fly over states – June 21, 2017
Understated required travel, otherwise a great job! Drive to customer location to repair Cardiac Monitor/Defibrillators and CPR device. Secure position but a lot of change with becoming a Stryker owned company.
Sr. Software Quality Engineer- Contractor (Former Employee) – Redmond, WA – June 12, 2017
Great company to work at, although I was contracting. The products are superb and the work environment is great. The company provides plenty of resources so the job can get done, and they have a very good process in place to meet customer needs and the requirements of the FDA.
Productive and fun place to work with ping pong, table basket ball court
Technical Support French/English (Former Employee) – Seattle, WA – January 23, 2017
This was a very nice place to work. People were very friendly and caring. I have move out of Seattle area, otherwise I would have been still working there. My direct Manager Deanne Kay told me while I left that she will still keep a place for me in the company. Overall I give Physio Control 5 stars rating this a company that creates equipment such defibrillator to help save people lives.
Staff Accountant (Former Employee) – Redmond, WA – October 26, 2016
The work environment was very fast paced where each employee was required to work quickly and efficiently. Work loads increased while training new employees making it very difficult to maintain work/life balance.
Management was not able to fully support their teams due to their overloaded plates and inability to delegate among team members. Communication was not a focus of management which increased confusion where multiple employees would work on similar projects with no collaboration.
Weekly happy hour in the cafeteria
Poor work environment, no work/life balance, lack of upper management support
