Plead the 5th in Corporate

The company has seen tremendous growth over the last few years. This includes business, employees, and locations. There is a ton of work to be done and just about every department needs more staff. This is especially true for the IT dept. It seems every time you call, the poor guys just sound very depressed. There are over 700 employees and 52 locations and from what I understand only 3 people on the IT helpdesk. Besides that, I have loved working at this company. The owner and his son (The President) are very personable. I have received a call for my birthday and work anniversary from both every year I've been here. Management is really cool. I have had no problems with taking care of personal needs, using PTO, or being forced to work long hours. When 5 o'clock rolls around, they believe in going home to your family. Work will always be there. Overall, I've had a great experience. The only drawback is all of the none sales positions are located at one location and there isn't much room to expand and grow unless you are OK with working the same position for years and years to come because literally no one ever quits or get fired from that place.

If you are not in sales, advancement is limited. Communication is no better than most companies but isn't much worse. It really depends on your location and your manager. They promote a "family" culture based on integrity. Those in the branches seem really close and supportive of each other.

Today was my last day with the company however in my short time with the company I found it pleasant to work with the rest of the staff all the way up to the branch manager he was extremely easy going and understanding the work itself is pretty straightforward you just have to learn the process of receiving and data input through the company's system once you do it a few times you will pick it up quite easy also if you need assistance everyone there is more than willing to help you they use the term family and that's exactly how you feel when you work there if your looking for all that then piedmont is the place for you
