Yes. But I’m not sure if they mean to. I am in management and after being hired into that position, a month later I received a letter from GCS or whatever 3rd party they use, stating that I’m not going to hired and cannot work for Pilot Flying J, and how they appreciated my time, etc... I even kept the letter, which was really thick. Incase they find out and try to fire me for not telling me, I’ll simply show them the letter, and blame them for their lack of paying attention. As far as the other reviewer stating that they won’t let you advance, I don’t think that’s the case. It might be a “who knows” personal thing. Because I was completely honest with my application and over the phone interview, yet they didn’t pay attention or perhaps didn’t care, because after getting that letter, I was anticipating being let go the next day. But here I am 7 months later and still working. However, I haven’t noticed a raise since my review, but who knows?! They don’t pay well enough anyway.

I will say, though, that the hiring person from corporate who interviewed me over the phone, was laid off during the same week I was being hired, so perhaps he was going to notify the store manager I was working under, but since being paid off, never got the chance or perhaps didn’t let them know out of spite. I can’t blame him. So perhaps I just got lucky.
