If you were in charge, what would you do to make Pilot Flying J a better place to work?
Keep the hard workers and shelve the pre madonnas that just like to hold the steering wheel and complain
Yes they hire felons. But even though my GM has been pushing to make me manager I have been informed that it’s Pilot policy to not allow felons in management even though my felonies are over 11 years old.
4p.m. - 4.am. To give your overnight guy a day off, or the entire week if they’re on vacation. So you tell me? Sound fun? It’s not.
Ask questions, be honest, let them know what your goals are, and where you want to be with the future of the company. Interview them as well get answers that concern you.
Initial phone screening, then was brought on site to meet a potential co-worker, business partner and manager. Then I was brought on site again for another round of interviews before offering the job a week later.
High school hair pulling bullying can-you-believe-what-she-said type of drama between co-workers, but the customers are mostly awesome & the best part of the job. I left because this job is a dead end, and the honest managers will tell you so as well. It's not a good fit for people looking to advance their career.
