Good place to work at , but the pay isn't worth all the hours I dedicate to this job.
Material Handler/Machine Operator (Current Employee) –  Houston, TXNovember 23, 2018
PTP is a nice place to work at , I get good hours . It's the fact it's so far from where I stay , not only that but the pay isn't worth it . The people there steal things , and have no respect for anyone or anything. Food , money , drinks , work items all come up missing . People have been there 15 years and still have to received a raise . In order to receive a raise you have to actually ask for one . To be evaluated , and to me I thinks that's a little outdated.
Pros
Good hours, paid weekly, overtime
Cons
Theft, Management, location

Good place to learn, but not a career.
Worker (Former Employee) –  FloorFebruary 28, 2018
Good place to learn and have a better feel for what the manufacturing business is like. Once you learn as much as you can, you take that experience else where to get compensated for what you know. Piping Technology does not pay no where near national average for any of their positions. Owner still has mind set like he's still in India, paying low wages at little to none. Management has no idea how to run company in every department, and still till this day are trying to figure out how to do so.

If you are an experienced worker, this is not the place to come and make a career out of. You will have better oppurtunities at other companies with better pay.

Keep looking
office (Former Employee) –  Houston, TXDecember 12, 2018
The company is going no where and mistreats employees constantly. They treat employees like they own them constantly ridiculing and humiliating them in public and common work areas. Instructions are confusing and management often gives conflicting directions and instructions. The owner and family don't care about real performance so they find employees to "kick" whenever something goes wrong. They demean and humiliate for motivation
Pros
They have high turnover so they are always hiring
Cons
Pretty much everything

If you are new to the country or fresh out of college PTP if a great opportunity to get your foot in the door. Unfortunately, advancement be it by position or salary is not probable.
Pros
Good place to start

Industrial Engineer (Current Employee) –  Houston, TXOctober 8, 2017
Typical day at work is highly stressful.
The company runs on unrealistic daily shipping goals.
Most of the employees are underpaid and unhappy with the job.

This company is only good for gaining some industrial exposure.
Your suggestions or inputs are not appreciated which would actually improve the work process and environment.

Management is least co-operative. Highly manipulative managers.
Pros
Coworkers are understanding
Cons
No benefits, no timely pay raise / evaluation, no career growth

Supervisor (Current Employee) –  Houston, TXSeptember 9, 2018
Nice place to work, but management has unreal expectations. Wages are very low, which brings down the moral in the company. No one is held accountable for poor performance including management. Most of the products are behind on schedule and quality of material is poor.

Mediocre place to work.
Material Handler (Current Employee) –  Houston, TXSeptember 19, 2017
I believe it is an overalls good place to work, but the pay isn't worth all the work and danger you have to go through.the benefits are good to an extent, they only come in play after you've been working here for a year or so. That includes the PTO, Vacation time, 401K and most of the health and dental benefits.
Pros
Long enough breaks, good food truck
Cons
Safety precautions, below average pay

Horrible place to work.
Worker (Current Employee) –  Houston, TXFebruary 27, 2017
This company is a terrible place to work. It's a good place to learn different skills but as far as an experienced worker, this place is a joke. The pay is insulting. You will basically be living paycheck to paycheck. The people in charge don't know how to run the shop. They probably treat their dogs better than they treat the workers. There are people in charge that make double what I'm making and yet, they don't know half of what I know about this industry. As far as raises, most likely you won't get one. The only good thing about this company are the coworkers. Most of them are genuinely good people. Avoid this company if possible!!
Pros
Coworkers.
Cons
Everything else.

The enviorment is full and energetic yet very depressing
Material Handler/Forklift Operator (Former Employee) –  Houston, TXFebruary 27, 2016
Dont go to this place ever i f you want to start a life dont look in here. Everybody who works in the offices think they are so uptight and wealthy when they are living basically check to check. The owner and his son horrible people stuck in thier own world. The VP is pretty much the same. Management sucks. I got fired for having a payed day off. No raises unless you tell the boss everything on a daily which is basically how you move up and get a .50c raise. Bright side to all pf this is the welders, mayerial handlers, etc etc are great people to meet alot of cons and probees but people are great.
Pros
Workers themselves
Cons
Management, owner and his family, pay
