If you were in charge, what would you do to make Pitt Ohio a better place to work?
Chuck do a tour of all of the terminals and meet your employees that would say a lot I've been here sixteen years never met you I mentioned it to upper management they said you have bigger and better things to do then to visit us by him telling me that says that you just care about your money.
This company will be closed soon. They are afraid to expand. They will be put out, cause of there fear.
I'm iffy about trying to apply part-time or full-time, main concern is the hours.I know full-timers work five 12-hour shifts, but what about part-timers?
Part time is 30 hours max, full time is 40+ and expect it to be higher the closer to the busy season with overtime coming after three years. I averaged 45 hours during slow business time
It would be a whole lot better if my runs didn't get cut at night they tell you to come in for a Richmond then they tell you Richmond to Baltimore you get to Baltimore and you have a single Baltimore back to Harrisburg 200 mile night that doesn't pay the bills I'm behind because I lose two to three hundred miles a night top 10 guys get there runs that they bid on every night the only time I get a decent run is on a Friday night or when people are on vacation then I'll get a good week if it's slow it should be spread out so everybody can make out not just the 10 top guys that would make the morrell go up in the company if everybody was getting a decent week instead of the top 10.
What are some good pointers, do's & dont's to for the interview process to getting the job offer?
Be up front on what you want and expect, In Richmond manager will say when it gets hot we will train you when business slow down, When it gets cold he will say when it's gets hot we will need you as a driver, Hiring people off the street the entire time, So corporate will become your friend as you will need them so you won't be ran over !
