PMA USA has two divisions; the Consumer Marketing (CMD) & Worksite Marketing Division (CMD). The CMD does more business at the policy owner's house, so there could be some door to door prospecting there. However, most of our leads in both divisions come from referrals through existing clients. Hope this helps!

All PMA reps are 1099 Independent Contractors, so commissions and residuals are the comp structure. Fairly common in the industry, and typically a salaried position in an insurance sales position forfeits the ability to grow renewals and passive income.

Yes, you need to buy cheap gifts and tvs and purses to give away at enrollments. They will make you split the cost with other agents working the employer group. Travel can become very expensive and often results in little money made because there are too many agents working group. And the products are expensive and you find yourself up against competitors that have cheaper and better policies. It pretty much sucks!

Potential to make unlimited income-YET, Tell potential agents the truth about the long hours ; how you are told you must be at the worksite could be 3plus hours away and its not your expense sir CEO- that cost us,It a no life-work balance job , how a new agent is to go without months of an income,Do not get angry when a new agent cannot quit their employee job ASAP(as you know in the Cancer presentation it says that unfortunately, the bills do not stop coming), Do not charge an interest fee for draws on the $1500 that suppose to get new agents through dry spells.
