Behavioral Health Technician in Henryville, PA

You get to work closely with clients and witness their transition into recovery first hand. You work closely with all departments, counseling, nursing, housekeeping, kitchen, maintenance.Like many professions the pay doesn’t reflect the work but the reward of changing lives and listening to stories and experiences is worth it. No day is ever the same and there is always someone or something new. There is always room for advancement, educational courses and overtime.

I’ve worked at several different inpatient rehab facilities and PMRC is behind the times when it comes to most things. The techs are required to do so many different things because the entire place is so understaffed. A tech is expected to do everything from the admission paperwork, body search, urine analysis, run group, luggage search, all while tending to the patients’ emotional and sometimes physical needs. It’s referred to as a “dual diagnosis” facility, but the techs and personnel are not equipped to handle dual diagnosis patients on second or third shift. When it comes to pay rate, it’s laughable. The people at Sheetz and fast food restaurants are making more than the people taking care of you or your loved ones.

I consider myself quite lucky to work at PMRC. We are committed to ensuring the success of our clients by providing ethical and compassionate care to our clients. Everyone works together and its amazing to see the transition of the clients and their new outlook on life due to the hard work they put in. The additions to administration and the management team have been fantastic. The facility has had quite a few upgrades this year with more to come in the upcoming year. I am proud to be part of such an amazing team and could not be happier!!!

The leadership is strong and the clinical programming is exceptional. This is a well-known and respected treatment center in the area and it is obvious why. I'm grateful to work in this environment and on such a passionate team to help others recover.

I am so happy that I took a position with Pocono Mountain Recovery Center. In March of 2020 the company did a complete staff overhaul. I blessed to have been recruited at this time. They have built an incredible team!! The CEO, Clinical Director, Nurse Manager, Counselors, Administrative Team, everyone is top notch. If you are looking for an amazing company with great benefits, an amazing team and passionate about helping those suffering from substance use disorders then I would urge you to apply. I have 15 years of experience in sales/healthcare. This is honestly the best group of people that I have had the privilege of working with. Good, kind, down to earth, loving people!
