For a person starting out it’s not a bad place but for a paraprofessional but you’re an Administrator or a Professor-type, FORGET IT. The working hours are long and advancement is nonexistent. I saw it as just another job as adjunct professors are exploited in this town. Note, Point Loma can’t pay the bills. They are too heavy in Administrators. They are struggling with admissions. Enrollment have dropped off considerably. That is why they rely on ADJUNCTS, they can’t afford to pay for tenure-track Professors nor recruit them. Just look at all the advertisements for adjuncts. It’s ridiculous. That should tell you something. Take my advice and don’t go there.
