Shouldve been an easy job but very stressful
I was a cook there for about 6-7 months. Being a cook wasnt bad, the chicken is cooked in large batches, which can sometimes lead to downtime, depending on the pace of customers coming in. However, poor management is the leading cause of stress at this job. Upper level management often did not order enough supplies to get us through the week, and mid level management was often absent in times that we were busy and could have used their help. Also, being a dishwasher on night shifts is one of the most stressful things I've experienced. You have to wash every dish that was used throughout the day on a time limit in order to keep your labor down or the managers get frustrated and tell you you're not going fast enough. If you're considering a job at Popeye's, I highly recommend being a cashier even though the closing process is tedious, or just looking for another job.
