Communication is needed
Health Representative (Current Employee) - San Jose, CA - December 30, 2022
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedPowerpersonnel isn’t a bad company. I do agree they need better communication at times and I know it can be stressful scheduling our job positions and assignments. But sometimes when a person cancels like a breaker. They are unaware of it at times. And it could happen where we don’t get a break. If you have good attendance they work with you and do accept what you request on schedules but if you are absent or call out sick a lot they won’t accommodate what you want because you are known to them as unreliable.

A true micro-managing and support nightmare
If ever I worked for a true micromanaging, inexperienced, and recruiting nightmare it would have to be them. Run don’t walk away. So so very disappointed and nothing but liars.

A Great Place to Work!
Junior Digital Marketing Specialist (Current Employee) - San Jose, CA - July 28, 2022
I work as a digital media specialist. In this fun and friendly environment, all of the internal jobs are remote. We work from all around the world! It is cool to meet people who are from other places and work closely with them. Others working in the healthcare industry for Power Personnel get to work closely with some of the Bay Area's most renowned hospitals.

Great Diverse Company
Lead Sourcing Specialist (Current Employee) - Remote - June 15, 2022
Power Personnel has been a pleasant experience in my 3 month journey so far. I love that our group is so diverse and unique like I've never seen in a company before. All my trainers at Power Personnel have been outstanding. I do appreciate they are taking their time to coach me on new skills set.

You are just a number to them.
Medical Assistant (Former Employee) - San Jose, CA - January 27, 2022
My experience with this company has been terrible. They took all of my personal information for onboarding and then scheduled me for a training with the company they were hiring me for. Then they ghosted me. The communication is horrible and it make you feel like you are just a number to them. They will text you out of nowhere and expect you to drop everything you are doing to respond with more information. This happens even after you have asked them if they need anything else from you. Trying to get a hold of them takes several days. Very unprofessional.
Pros
Sadly none
Cons
Everything.

They don't care
Registered Nurse (RN) (Former Employee) - San Jose, CA - January 16, 2022
They are very poor at communication and simply do not care. They will ghost you or ignore you. They are here to make money off of you and nothing else, they make this clear to you by abandoning you after the contract starts. Make sure whatever you talk with them about is in writing because they will lie to you if it is verbal only. There are dozens of other contract agencies that treat their employees better than this place.
Pros
none
Cons
no benefits, poor communication

They use you
Registered Nurse (Former Employee) - Livermore, CA - June 19, 2021
Managers have no clue what's going on at the work site. No support from management when identifying problems and needs. Horrible work environmet with psychological violence, biohazards. They don't pay for personal phone use even though you have to use your own phone all day. They use you for their profits, then get rid of you when you don't serve their needs any longer.
Pros
Free lunches
Cons
Poor communication, no management support, no benefits, dangerous work place

Poor staffing team
Patient Care Technician (Former Employee) - Gilroy, CA - March 26, 2021
The staffing team often forgets their employees for weeks unless you complain about hours. I've gone 3 weeks with only 4 hours of work. They called me to work 2 weeks after I had already quit. Other employees that I have worked with would request certain locations or shifts and requests were denied.
Pros
Good experience in working in different environments.
Cons
No benefits. No mileage compensation. Poor staffing team

Pays really well
Medical Assistant ( Covid Testing) (Current Employee) - Oakland, CA - January 20, 2021
Great company ! My assignment site I got assigned to was awesome to work at . Only issue with them is communication. It’s a little tricky to communicate with them . I was left alone for almost 3 weeks at my site as a medical assistant, the company didn’t tell me the nurses I worked with weren’t coming back . Other than that they pay really well.

Working with power for the last few months, it has been a great experience. When laid off at Stanford, I was provided with a new assignment as soon as possible!

During my time here, I felt as thought there was little organization. I learn to proper source and vet my candidates. I feel that this was to learn more than anything

It was a great learning environment
Healthcare Recruiter/Career Counselor (Former Employee) - San Jose, CA - January 27, 2020
It suits individuals differently. They lack the proper foundation to grow, especially for being in the business for 25 years. Management has no direction or forward trajectory.

Not a good staffing agency.
Surgical Materials (Former Employee) - Palo Alto, CA - September 3, 2019
Power Peronnel is a poorly managed staffing agency. They only care about their profits and will only use you as they see fit for themselves. No room for advancement and will try to block you from getting hired directly at the hospital.
