Operator in Springdale, PA

PPG as a company should be ashamed of how absolutely terribly the research and development division is ran in Springdale. You will be offered no transparency here as an operator and it feels like class warfare between management and employees weekly. I would recommend in the most sincere way that you do not become a chemical operator in Springdale. The management and the lack of order caused by the management will be the reason PPG in Springdale will no longer operate by the end of the decade.

Terrible work life balance. 12 hrs shifts make days long. 2nd shift hours are terrible if your significant other works first shift. Good pay. Some room for advancement.

PPG overall is a great company to work for. They provide a flexible schedule that allows for a better work life balance. I feel secure in my role and don't bring stress home with me.
