I would first and foremost, listen to my employees!! If I was in charge obviously I wouldn't be on the floor or in the room to see or hear everything, I would realize this and listen attentively to the ones that are!! Without employees a company is nothing!! Sadly prairie farms WI cares very little about their turnover rates and even find it comical; my second week I was asked to walk someone down to the room with me and a "boss" (assistant plant manager) tells her this is so and so she started a couple weeks ago so she's a veteran and laughed, someone else (another employee) laughed, I said a veteran I've been here a week they said yea that's a veteran for packaging and laughed again. This should not be comical especially to management! I worked there 3 months and out of about 10 employees that were hired after me, I was there the longest and only 1 other was still there!! I would change the point system! The policies would be the same for every employee and I would recognize the difference in an employee that habitually calls in and one of which that's going through medical issues or a life crisis!! I would make the time to listen to my employees that have been there 1 day just as attentively as I would the CEO and I would show the same respect to every employee dispite a title!!
