It can take as long as 10 days, depending on how long the background check takes. Management would inform HR of a opening, HR would post the position for a certain amount of time. It would usually be open for 7 days. After that interviews would commence and once the person has been picked, HR would be notified to contact that individual after their background check has gone through.
