Absolutely awful! Stressful , short staffed. No appreciation for the staff. Never put the patient first
Lack of true leadership from the top of the organization. Highly paid "consultants" are often engaged to coach and train the leaders all the way down to the non-skilled employee how to be "nice" to patients. The leaders themselves, however, are very good at pretending to embrace the initiatives but in the end they don't practice what they preach. They are tyrants. They are only seeking the advancement to C suite positions in the company and will run over anyone and everyone in the process. They are superior and smug to everyone beneath them. They love to threaten with "you're on the bus or your not" and only they will decide if you are on or off. Good people who served the organization well are frequently "gone" with an announcement of "left to seek other opportunities." Everyone knows what that means. Job security? Don't ever think so. No matter how hard you work, how committed, how "Premier Proud" it makes no difference. Your head will be on the chopping block at a moment's notice. Stress? Plenty of it. Let's do this and get it done in a short time frame, perfectly executed..... oops no, let's not do that. Our goal is to..... oh no, that's not our goal. Oh, what was our goal again? Oh, how did we measure that? Oh, was that not an achievable goal? Oh well, sorry you didn't make it. Oh, we changed that goal. You must, you will, this is required, doesn't matter if it doesn't make sense, just do it.
