Pret A Manger
Pret A Manger Team Member/coffee runner Review
Intense and stressful environment
Team Member/coffee runner (Former Employee) - Manhattan, NY - October 19, 2018
The coworkers are very demanding and rude. The managers don't fix issues with coworkers properly which causes a hostile work environment. Labor is not spread evenly between team members, trainers, and leaders.

It goes without saying that it will depend on your location and team that you have. There can be high turn arounds with both team members and managers. Morning and lunch rushes are to be expected. Some managers are easy to work with and are flexible as they can, but if you have a set schedule, it's best to let them know before hand. Team members are expected to deal with customers , arrange displays, cleaning and maintain front of house and sometimes bake pastries. After some time you will be able to move up and can be a manager (for the front or back), chef, or barista.

Not the best place to work.
Lead Barista (Former Employee) - Manhattan, NY - October 28, 2023
I learned to say no, and give me the value I deserve as an employee. Dishonest bosses who only care about their own welfare. You will only progress and move up the ranks if you say yes to everything and do extra work but without receiving any monetary benefit.
Pros
Free food!
Cons
Life balance.
