What is it like to work at Price Chopper Supermarkets?
Not so great

In high school, I worked as a courtesy clerk for the Price Chopper on Barry Road. Though I enjoyed the pace of pushing carts and bagging groceries, I was severely underpaid. I would work hours and hours out in the hot sun or out in the freezing cold and got paid minimum wage and received no recognition. It was a good place to get my foot in the door, - more... but I would never go back. - less
ProsFast-paced, good sense of community
ConsLittle recognition, creepy guys that won't leave you alone, and PAY.
What do employees say about Price Chopper Supermarkets's culture and work-life balance?
Very stressful work environment

Price Chopper is fast paced and very competitive. I would not recommend working there if you’re looking for a good paying job, they do not give raises or benefits, they don’t like giving OT or making anyone full time.
