Would not recommend
Nothing (Former Employee) –  Hanover, MAJune 29, 2018
If you enjoy working as many hours a week as they can possibly make you with the worst managers in history, then apply at prime. There is no room for advancement, they cannot hold a manager, they treat their employees like dirt. They are not understanding of the fact that they have lives outside of here. They do not give raises. They are very unfair.

Just another Thankless corporation all about the numbers!
Customer Service Advisor & Warranty Administrator (Former Employee) –  MassachusettsApril 17, 2018
Turned into a corporation were employee number such and such filled the short term need and made our graph look good to the investors but now they are expendable. Turn over is frequent (not from advancement). I worked for almost 5 years in 2 locations and worked for 6 different services managers and and 7 different GM's. Great for the individual with out family and only has time to consider coworkers as friends.
Pros
Pay and some of the people
Cons
Pay, work life balance, loyalty and time off

Negative environment, poor managment
Receptionist (Former Employee) –  Manchester, NHFebruary 2, 2018
Co workers were very disrespectful, departments do not answer their phone calls so when they bounce to the main office, you get screamed at. Promised raises never received. Nobody ever seems to know what is going on. Overall from going to privately owned to a corporation, very poor experience. Negative environment to be around 8 hours a day!
Pros
Hour lunch, discounted services
Cons
Managment, hours, no coverage

Horrible Management/ Dont care
Sales (Former Employee) –  Manchester, NHDecember 18, 2017
Managers are all about them and what they want they talk a good talk promise you the moon and stars don't delivery. I have worked in the industry for over 10 years and never have seen such a lack of respect and I don't care attitude. Managers talk a good talk but don't give care about employees or customers. They ask you for 10 million thing to do yet you ask for something and they don't even acknowledge you are there. No two days off at all. Two 10 hours shifts back to back. 50 plus hours.
Pros
Good benefits
Cons
everything else, long long hours, two 10 hour shifts no life... you might as well live there

Account Payable (Former Employee) –  Norwood, MAMarch 5, 2018
Poor Management. It seems as though people get to where they are based on # of years they have been there and not based on degrees and experience. The place is very laid back.

No respect for employees
Sales & Leasing Consultant (Former Employee) –  Prime Toyota SacoMarch 2, 2014
Great Money, but way too much stress. Managers are not all on the same page. One tells you to do one thing, while another tells you the opposite. Manager take out their stress on subordinates. If they got yelled at by their boss, you can count on being yelled at by them for no reason at all. What The Name Sake of the company presents to the public is not really what goes on. All his charitable work is probably so he can sleep at night at what his managers are doing. No team work. Its every person for themselves. Some of the managers, will treat you like dirt, just to make themselves feel good. What could be a great place, is ruined by an environment that needs to be changed. Favoritism ran wild and who you were, meant more than how well you did your job. Also, there are people sprinkled here and there who got jobs for unknown reasons, except someone HAD to give it to them.
Pros
Potential Income, fed you quite often, some freedom
Cons
Stress, treatment, long, long hours, favoritism, no room for growth or promotion, entrenched people

Administrative Clerk - Temp (Former Employee) –  Westwood, MAJuly 14, 2016
Management is really unprofessional in the way they implement new procedures they just spring it on you and they expect to just quickly get it. I was a temp for over the promised duration... Kept asking for the promised benefits and the CFO acted as if he had no knowledge of what I spoke of.
Pros
Free Lunches, Schedule Flexibility
Cons
Tons of Pressure, No room for growth, constant criticism

The politics & non sense. No annual sales meetings, & no support for middle management. You are not encouraged to take vacation time & if you do you are treated differently.

Not a good place to work.
Sales Representative (Former Employee) –  Auburn, MAJanuary 24, 2018
What a bunch of you know whats. Totally dysfunctional. Poor training. As I was coming on board a bunch of people were leaving. I soon discovered why. While most people were
okay to work with, and customers were great, the sales manager was absolute poison. I know car sales can be a tough job. That wasn't the problem. Prime was duplicitous. Don't believe anything they tell you.
I had a problem, corporate was useless and didn't do anything that they could have done, so the problems were not just this location. Lots of others left, too, including in different roles, who were unhappy. There is nothing good going on here. The best thing about this place is leaving. Nobody needs all the irrational and unnecessary stress. VERY unprofessional. Plus, really bad (nonexistent) systems in place. Just a tremendously mediocre place of clumsy chaos.
Pros
none really
Cons
everything

Don't work here!
n/a (Former Employee) –  Lancaster, MAMay 30, 2017
Was a great place to work until they hired the current parts manager. Run the other way. Trust me! Unless you like being micro-managed to death don't work here. Total lack of managerial skills and professionalism. Lack of upper management oversight makes the problem worse.

Service Advisor (Former Employee) –  Saco, MESeptember 4, 2012
Prime Motor Group is a great place to work! The income potential is yours to choose. You interact with customers constantly throughout the day and help ensure their safety when working as a Service Advisor. The hardest part of the job would be that it is very fast paced and can be stressful if you are not an organized person. The most enjoyale part of the job is knowing you are helping others everyday and meeting new people.
Pros
great pay
Cons
long hours, no job stability
