a typical day at work
Agent/Customer Service (Former Employee) –  Houston, TXSeptember 24, 2018
had to arrive 10-15 minutes before the meeting started so that you can get to know more people and to get along with coworkers, once we got the meeting started we sat and did recognition's and then we started taking notes of the most important things we had to learn and memorize to keep growing in the company and our business

Insurance Agnet
Life Insurance Agent (Current Employee) –  Arlington, TXSeptember 22, 2018
A fantastic work environment that challenges you to be more than an employee but an entrepreneur. This job runs solely on compensation and residual income from the hard work you put in so this is not for everyone. Co workers always try and challenge you to be better and teach you knew skills and how money works in real world situations.

Horrible place to work back stabbing co workers
Engineer (Former Employee) –  Duluth, GASeptember 22, 2018
Worked here for 4 years managers are morons who only care about them self the leadership is clueless on what needs to be done. Technical managers don't understand the technology. They will not listen to you if you have suggestions don't waste your time. This company is a pyramid scheme and either you drink the koolaid and tow the line or they will throw you under the bus when management makes a bad decision.
Pros
No pros avoid
Cons
They can't even keep the most basic systems up and running

You are a recruiter. Not an agent
Insurance Agent (Current Employee) –  Hernando, msSeptember 20, 2018
All they want you to do is recruit recruit recruit. It's like feeding a monster. They don't too much focus on the selling of policies, they push you to bring more people in and make money by writing policies on them. NOT my cup of tea. Beware!

This is a really great commission job for people who are very comfortable with talking to strangers. Also for someone who does very well with selling money to someone.... The people are really exciting and enjoyable. The job is tough but it is doable.
Pros
Travel, meet new ppl
Cons
Trying to sell Life insurance to the closed minded

Financial Advisor (Former Employee) –  Avondale, AZSeptember 19, 2018
loved every minute of the work i did. I helped many families get on a path to financial freedom. When i first started i didn't really know what to expect but after attending various meetings and talking with people who've been active in the business for a while i became more comfortable with the general concept.

Fun and competitive working place
Life Insurance Agent and Financial Advisor (Current Employee) –  Stockton, CASeptember 19, 2018
I learned many valuable aspects within this company. Buildings authentic relationships with families and clients. Helping the families depending on what they are lacking financially and how we can help them save money. Help families become financially independent, properly protected, and debt free. My team is very competitive and always supporting one another, and training is given every week. For every level you achieve in the company you are recognized in front of friends and family.
Pros
free food every meeting/training, win high amounts of money, free trips from Primerica (all paid by the company)
Cons
commission based

Learning Benefits and Leadership Training
District Leader (Former Employee) –  Indianapolis, INSeptember 19, 2018
Although Primerica is a commission based company it is a great thing to be a part of, especially if you want to earn additional income in your free time.
The greatest benefit is the financial education such as debt elimination, stock market investments, insurance policy and loan contract analysis.
Another incredible perk is being able to be mentored by wealthy and successful leaders in the company that teat you with respect and kindness.
I recommend it for additional income opportunities and the self-improvement value.
Pros
Self-improvement and Mentorship
Cons
only commission

Fun environment, hard working, competitive, team leadership
FINANCIAL COACH (Former Employee) –  Harahan, LASeptember 18, 2018
Working in Primerica strictly depends on your RVP. If theyre a good leader and teacaher then youll succeed, but if they arent and they depend on you to make everything possible just so they can reap the benefits, then you nor your team will survive. The job solely depends on you being able to deliver information to your team from your RVP, that your team can deliver to their team to teach families about proper life insurance and financial savings plans once you are securities licensed.
Pros
If you're making money you can come and go as you please
Cons
long hours, charge backs, strict commitment and dedication, you always have to pay for trips unless you win one

Life Insurance Agent (Current Employee) –  Dallas, TXSeptember 18, 2018
This occupation is incredibly fun to work in, although, it is a little difficult for those who are in tight spots and can't really do too much or don't know a lot of people. I still recommend it, because you'll never be able to feel the same working at Primerica, than anywhere else.

Best if Worked PT
Division Leader (Former Employee) –  Queens, NYSeptember 17, 2018
It's a good company...not for everyone. You can make a lot of money PT if you listen to your coach and work smart. Laziness and pessimism won't get you anywhere. You will have fun if you're with a good office that is not cut throat for numbers, especially at company events. You may get discouraged if you dont make any money at first because it is sales. But make sure you've got great team to help you.
Pros
Unlimited income
Cons
Unstable income
