Productive workplace with positive management changes
Employee (Current Employee) –  Titusville, FLDecember 14, 2018
PAA is a nice place to work. Most of the employees try to keep a positive atmosphere and there are plenty of functions throughout the year given to promote morale and team work. Lots of PTO and pay+benefits are fair - insurance, health savings plans, and 401k. Company is always willing to train employees. Free coffee and nice vending, and good size break room.

Management has changed, but definitely for the better. Contracts are good and work load is being managed well, with transparency and truth. It fluctuates, but that is the nature of the beast and most understand that. Great place to be employed!
Pros
Nice facility, good managers, promotes work-life balance
Cons
SOME negative attitudes and a lingering culture from past management.

Avionics/Gear Technician (Former Employee) –  Titusville, FLOctober 30, 2018
Insurance is pricey and hourly rate is kind of low but overall a great company and laid back work environment. Benefits are great. Sick time and vacation time received after 90 days.

Overall, a great work environment.
Aerospace Machinist (Former Employee) –  Titusville, FLJune 6, 2018
All management approachable, and will take the time necessary to listen.

Work load ebbs and flows. Environmentally controlled; plenty of lighting.

Although lunch time is off the clock, there are two 15 minute breaks that are.

Always paid on time by direct deposit.

Accounts Receivable & Billing Specialist (Former Employee) –  Titusville, FLMarch 13, 2018
I enjoyed my time at PAA. A lot has changed over the years. Employee moral has dropped dramatically since the original President and Vice President left several years ago. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience. As with all jobs, there will always be ups and downs. Was not expecting to leave this company. But God has something better planned for me.

Quality Control Inspector (Current Employee) –  Titusville, FLApril 26, 2017
Could be a awesome place to work but every time management makes a good decision for the moral of the work force they ruin it with something that is terrible. They dont care about your life outside of work. Your just a number and a warm body performing a job. Not much for giving raises or raising moral. No bonuses or anything of that nature. Building is clean and you work in the A/C, Free coffee and lots of overpriced stuff in the vending machines in the break room.
Pros
Pays most of the bills, not a bad place to work but dont expect too much.
Cons
Typical raises 2.5 %

small company with negative reinforcement
GearTechnician (Current Employee) –  Titusville, FLFebruary 20, 2017
You can never do anything right there some one in management always have something negative to say about your work even if you bust your hump to get the job done.
The work force is pretty good but favoritism is widespread. Quality director has no people skills at all very negative.
computer system is a joke. the old system that was DOS based still gets used everyday.
Pros
work inside

computer system you work for not the other way abound

Keep looking, crooked company who doesn't value their employees.
Aircraft Maintenance Technician (Current Employee) –  TitusvilleJune 3, 2016
I've been here for many years striving to move up, far to long in fact. Myself and many many others have come to terms that it will never be noticed. The vast majority of employees are currently looking for better employment. Management is a complete joke and they don't even stick around. The politics and nepotism is sickening. There's absolutely no communication nor organization, No motivation and horrible morale. There's not an effective training program in place so you're basicly doomed from the start. The pay is below the industry standard and you're required to supply your own shadowed toolbox full of tools. You will have to engrave a company I.D. on your personal tools as well.

So If you are proficient with communicating to two year olds (competence of management and supervisors here) being forced to work overtime and on your days off, your holidays off at a moments notice to be "just a number" then this is the place for you, it will literally suck the life out of you.

All previous benifiets of working here such as the company cruise, picnics and such have been taken away without reason.
Pros
Vacation time, Co-workers generally look out for each other. Fancy break room.
Cons
Far to many to list.

I had a great experience and learn alot from my co workers
Shipping and Receiving Clerk (Former Employee) –  Titusville, FLJanuary 6, 2016
A typical day consist of moving products to inventory, inspecting, packing to shipping. Co workers were a great help of training to helping with your mistake. The hardest part of the job was the change in management. From scheduling to training in different fields. The enjoyable part of the job was the people you spend time with there. You become close friends and care about your associate.

If you enjoy kissing butt to advance in a company and get minimal raises, this is your kind of place. Nepotism at its finest. This company is losing all of its prime contracts.

Tech. Avionics / Instrument (Former Employee) –  Titusville, FLDecember 30, 2014
Poor chain of command. Nepotism & cronyism rule supreme here.

Everybody bailing that can. Even the past president.

They think a Canadian from SF can turn this moribund business around. Very bad decision for the Corporation.
Pros
Offers a company cruise every year. Won't let spouses come.
Cons
Front office & blue collar types take separate lunch hours. No opportunities to be heard.

Secretary (Former Employee) –  Titusville, FLMay 12, 2014
I loved the computer work I did but I could not stand the office politics which was very cliche and high school like. I wanted to apply for a position in the manufacturing section but was told I had to take a pay cut.

Great company to work with. Like working with family
Stock Room Clerk / Material Handler (Former Employee) –  Titusville, FLJuly 22, 2013
started the day checking and responding to email. Processing incoming parts, pulling parts, issuing gears and supplies to shops where and when needed. I learned several things, such processing gears to shop, locating new, or overhauled parts if needed to replace the old ones and deliver to shop so gears can be shipped out. The management where helpful where and when needed and always there to help. Hardest part of the job was trying to keep to a schedule. My co-workers were great, easy to work with and helpful it was like working with family, very caring. I enjoyed working with PAA very much enjoyed coming to work. If you made a mistake you were walked through it to get it corrected without being made to feel stupid. I loved working for PAA
