Interview Tips

Prep yourself. Then, just be you.

If you landed an interview with Progressive, congratulations! The interviewing process helps you really shine, feel comfortable and confident, and show the recruiter and hiring manager why you're the right person for the job.


We use Targeted Selection or "behavior-based questions." These questions give us a sneak peek into how you work and implement your skills and abilities. The school of thought here is that past behavior can predict future behavior.


Practice makes perfect. Practice with others or in front of your mirror to get comfortable with your responses. And, you're also learning about us in your interviews. Have some questions on hand for the interview team to show your interest in the job and make sure it's the right fit for you. Lastly, remember to show your enthusiasm. This is the fun part—where you get to be more than your resume. This is just a conversation between two people. As much as you can, just be yourself.

With on-site health care, fitness centers, and one of the largest corporate art collections in the country, Progressive’s six major campuses are anything but a typical corporate environment. Our corporate headquarters is in Mayfield Village just outside of Cleveland, but we have large locations in Tampa, Austin, Colorado Springs, Phoenix and Sacramento. And if you’re not in one of those major cities, don’t sweat it, we have plenty of opportunities available across the U.S., including more than 250 claims locations.
