Good company
Director of Delivery (Current Employee) –  Bellevue, WAJuly 13, 2019
PK is on the smaller side for an outsourcing company in tech, really only 1 large client. I appreciate their willingness to work with other vendors, they really do seem to put the client first (unlike others I've worked for or with), the clients seem to like them.

PK is a growing company, and they are experiencing a lot of growing pains. But those issues don't usually impact your day to day work

They do make a serious effort to keep their staff working, and there are opportunities to work on projects while on the bench.
Pros
Good corporate culture
Cons
The company is struggling to put processes in place as it grows.

This is by far the worst company I have ever worked for.
Lean-Agile Transformation Coach (Former Employee) –  Bellevue, WAMay 31, 2019
I would not refer an enemy to work for this company, much less a friend. These are small minded people who look out for their friends and buddies at work. Very cheap and they don't provide employees with the basics to do their jobs. Very tribal and origin oriented. This is the worst company I have every worked for. Everything has to be approved by vice-president. Everyone here is very cliquish. People here are very racist and discriminatory. They do not hire the best people and they only hire their friends and people they can manipulate.
Pros
None.
Cons
Everything, the environment and the people.

Micromanagement at the fullest. Terrible team culture. Fallacy promises from VP Level
T A Manager (Current Employee) –  United StatesApril 17, 2019
No trust in employee decisions and serious lack of team efforts. Very cliquey environment. Everyone is extremely selfish and only look out for oneself. At any chance people would try to shark others out of sales and it was encouraged by VP Level just so a hire/sale was made. They portray they are a IT Solutions company but they are so far from it. This company is nothing more than a badly run staffing company that gives false promises and lies to candidates to get them hired. Never see so many miserable people in one office. Also, it has been known in certain markets that if you do leave the VP's will try and black-ball you out of other positions you are trying to get. The will and have given bad references or tell lies to your future potential employers. The Global VP is notorious for this.

They only cared about the profits. Major culture of playing favorites and would praise those who brown nosed to leaders. Extremely toxic environment. This place was not enjoyable at all. They also work the system to hire multiple H1 candidates all the time everyday and they will use abuse and throw them away which is quite sad when a part of the quote "mission," is being ethical. I learned how exactly not to be a manager and what not to do when I become a leader. That will be grateful in the future. Bosses not leaders here tell you what to do, do not show you, if you try to make things simpler or better they will either scrutinize you or they will wait and steal the idea for themselves. Lastly, one of the VP's is a huge drinker and it shows on a daily weekly basis.
Pros
Will teach you life lessons how not to run a company
Cons
Toxic, Bad Leadership, Grudges, Tattle Telling, Not Autonomy, MicroManagement, Brown Nosing, Playing Favorites, Lies to get you to join their company, Zero accountability on actual mission statement

Typical outsourcing agency
Analyst (Current Employee) –  Bothell, WAFebruary 26, 2019
If you've worked with any outsourcing firm, you've pretty much worked at ProKarma. H1B Visa workers are the majority of my coworkers, pay is low, benefits are negligible, organization is lacking.

Talent Acquisition Coordinator (Former Employee) –  Bellevue, WAAugust 6, 2018
A typical day is being on over 30 calls and answering about over 50 emails sometimes over 100. Got the exposure about SoW, Hiring and On boarding Process. Management was very friendly and comfortable to approach for any queries.

Billing Analyst/Client Support Specialist (Current Employee) –  Atlanta, GAMay 24, 2018
My typical day at work starts off with checking my emails and prioritizing the days deliverables . In addition I would also prepare for daily meetings and gather necessary documents pertaining to that specific meeting to insure a resolution is reached. Management is very approachable and willing to build off of creative ideas.
The work place is collaborative. I think the hardest part of my job is prioritizing at adhoc request while managing daily deliverables. The most enjoyable part of my job is affirmation from upper management regarding good work.
Pros
Good potential for advancement very quickly.

Small size allows for corporate agility.
Business Analyst (Former Employee) –  Omaha, NEMay 17, 2018
ProKarma is a fairly small cosultancy. Its size makes it much easier for one's work to be noticed than at larger firms.

Management is adequate though not always available.

The overall plan for developing the company is not always made avalableto staff.
Pros
small size, self-starter attitude is encouraged
Cons
Recognition not always provided, overall performance perception rarely given to staff on a frequent basis.

It's a tech sweatshop & the Management is HORRIBLE
Data Architect/Data Modeler (Current Employee) –  Sacramento, CAFebruary 28, 2018
They favor H1B employees and people on work visas so that they can make them work long hours, treat them badly, and get everything done thru' them. The managers don't have any technical expertise and they take on projects which they have no idea how to execute..this place is a disaster. Run Away from this one...

An okay place to work
iOS Developer (Contract) (Former Employee) –  Denver, COFebruary 25, 2018
People are generally pleasant to work with, however Prokarma relies a great deal on foreign labor. Management feels entitled to only "rock star" developers and if they can't find one, they'll get someone from India whose body shop will definitely provide a resume and forged certifications saying they are one. If you're American-born, you will be used to clean up the messes they make and thrown out once they're finished with you.
Pros
Nice location
Cons
Job security there is only for foreigners

This organization says they are acting in the best interest of the organization which to them means no raises and work you to the bone even when you have a medical issue.

Good people with growing pains
Technical Delivery Manager/Scrum Master (Former Employee) –  Redmond, WAJanuary 17, 2018
The people I worked with directly were great. I also had a very good manager. The problem with Pro Karma is communications with the corporate offices in Omaha and the rest of the company. There is a clash of corporate cultures and many times one hand doesn't know what the other hand is doing. As an FTE working in the Redmond Wa office I was on the bench between contracts getting paid full wages and the various HR teams and the practice were not on the same page about what to do with me. So after spending too much time on the bench they had to roll me off. So while I do recommend Pro Karma as a place to work, I will add the caveat that they can let people slip through the cracks so be aware.
Pros
Many opportunities to grow
Cons
Support staff is too dispersed

Good place to learn..
Lead UX | UI / Interaction designer (Former Employee) –  Denver, COOctober 4, 2017
This was a great place to learn the basics of Native iOS and Android design. You get to work closely with dev teams and project managers. Unfortunately there is a lot of backstabbing high school drama, and it is not what a professional company should reward, yet the people that work the least and complain the most make it to the top.

Good Conceptual Model, poor execution
Director of Sales (Former Employee) –  Sacramento, CASeptember 13, 2017
ProKarma had great ideas for how to execute IT solutions in their space, but did a poor job of execution on their projects. Top performers are treated well and are allocated all of the resources which keeps them on the top. New employees or people that are trying to build new business are given the left-overs making it incredibly difficult to build or grow or achieve set milestones. Management does not recognize this and does not promote the employee loyalty necessary to overcome the hurdles.
Pros
Decent pay and benefits. good autonomy
Cons
lack of loyalty and delivery support

Not enough collaboration
Talent Acquisition Manager (Current Employee) –  Portland, ORJune 29, 2017
ProKarma is still stuck in an old school work mentality, their office is very outdated, there's very little collaboration, and it's extremely difficult to recruit on certain positions as they are across the country which means the account managers are across the country as well.
Pros
Little supervision, freedom, free Friday breakfast
Cons
No collaboration, watching the clock day in and out
